There is beauty in everything. Especially the things that have lived a life. They are the threshold to the past. A look into a world that once was and now continuing into the future.

Did someone say la dolce vita?

We not only turn your homes into living works of art. We can also transform your commercial spaces into something really special. This is Pazza on Porter in East Boston. A popular spot with locals, it just needed a little love.

History of Interior Design: Victorian

Spanning the reign of Queen Victoria from 1837 to 1901, the era was defined by its opulence, meticulous detail, and a “more is more” maximalist aesthetic. Rather than representing a single style, Victorian design was a dynamic movement shaped by the Industrial Revolution, expanding global trade, and a rapidly growing middle class that used interior decor as a public display of their social standing. The advent of mass production in the 19th century led to an influx of cash for the middle class and plenty more affordable decorative products that would have previously taken much longer and much more money to produce.

Furber’s Twelve Months of Flowers | Robert Furber was a British horticulturist and writer. He was most known for writing the first seed catalog in England. Furber was also a member of the English Society of Gardeners. A group formed in 1724 to protect the reputations of plant growers by mutually agreeing to names for newly discovered plants.

Furbers most notable work was the Twelve Months of Flowers that was published in 1730. It served as a catalog of plants and seeds, and featured twelve detailed engravings of seasonal plants in bloom. Henry Fletcher produced each of the twelve hand-colored engravings from paintings by Pieter Casteels.

History of Interior Design: Neoclassical

Like the Georgian style, Neoclassical design emerged in the mid-18th century as a rational, elegant reaction to the excessive, frivolous Rococo style before it. Driven by archaeological discoveries, it revived the symmetry, proportion, and classical motifs of ancient Greece and Rome, ultimately shaping centuries of timeless, sophisticated home decor. Between the 1740s and 1760s, there was a widespread fascination with classical antiquity that was ignited by the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum. This inspired architects and artists to reject Rococo curls in favor of pure, ancient geometry.
