What an honor it was to welcome them into our studio today and to share our story—from how Chris and I met to how Loveline came to be.
The work they do is thoughtful, generous, and deeply meaningful.
It feels like a keepsake for the makers of today, the makers of tomorrow, and the makers who came before us. I am truly honored to have been interviewed by them, and grateful for the care and attention they bring to telling the stories of people who make things by hand.

I wait all year for these beauties to bloom, and once they do, I simply can't help myself. Lily of the Valley has always been one of my favorites. 🤍

My Gathering Mat lives in the back of my car so I can pull over whenever something beautiful catches my eye. I use it all year long for foraging and gathering, but spring is my favorite season of all—filled with Lily of the Valley, lilacs, and armfuls of blossoms gathered from roadsides and garden edges.

The Delphinium has been with me for many years now, and I still love making it. Like most designs that stay around for a while, it has gone through many iterations—small changes, refinements, and new ideas along the way—but it has remained one of my favorites.

One of the details I especially love is the leather tab, now stamped with our name and finished with a brass rivet. Those small touches may seem simple, but they are the kinds of details that have shaped and refined this basket over the years. I enjoy taking something functional and elevating it just a little, adding elements that feel thoughtful, beautiful, and lasting.

Each basket is hand-dyed and sewn one at a time in our Maine studio and is now available in 18 different colors. It’s always a joy to see this familiar design come to life in a new palette.

Custom orders heading out into the world ✨
One of my favorite parts of making baskets is creating pieces in colors chosen just for someone’s home and life — and no two are ever exactly alike.

There is a lot that goes into a custom order. Emails back and forth, dyeing and re-dying rope, deciding how much of each color to use, and slowly building the basket one step at a time. It takes a while, but I truly love the process.

These were fun to make, and I can’t wait for them to arrive at their new homes. Thank you for supporting handmade work — it means so much to us.

A happy little stack of Buttercup baskets heading out into the world today. I always love when people choose small handmade gifts for teachers at the end of the school year, or for the volunteers who quietly give so much of themselves to their communities. In a roundabout way, it makes me feel connected too — and that feels very special.

Thank you to the Maine Community Foundation. We are so honored to create these baskets for you. I love the colors of their logo, and it has been such a pleasure carefully hand-dyeing the rope to match them perfectly. Chris hand-turns each lid, and I build each basket to fit — one of my favorite collaborations between the two of us.

Writing
One of my favorite collaborations with Chris is creating baskets to match his hand-turned wood lids. I love seeing the warmth of the wood against the softness of the rope. This one is called Mayshine.

Buttercup.. the smallest basket that we make and sell regularly. We do also make tiny baskets for fun and for little gifts. I have been making this style for years and I still love them.. all 18 colors.

Our new website has arrived just in time for this gorgeous season. Forcythia is here and with it, a big burst of joy.
One of our new color palettes this year is Forsythia. I adore sewing in all shades of yellow.
The Calliope and Clio Totes are now available in this bright, warm and happy color way.
