They appeal to the masses. And a lot of the time, they do work…for someone. But just because it looks good, doesn’t mean it’s good for YOU.

Done fast and done well are not the same. Our homes are a reflection of who we are. Our character, our personality, our quirks - elements that have been bent, built, and gathered over decades. Our whole lives, really. We are never really “done,” are we? So why do we hold our homes to a standard that doesn’t reflect who we are? Chasing “done” results in forced decisions, and forced decisions result in regret down the road. It’s okay to let some of your choices come to you over time.
