2026 Show Guidelines & Over Arching Directives:
1) Determine the total show stage dimensions
a) Plan for all props to have symmetry and balance across the stage
b) Plan for power, data, and extension routes to avoid tripping hazards
c) Derive a theme for the 2026 show: Train with Presents
d) Plan for only Halloween and Christmas show.
e) Every side of the house will be utilized for props
f). Icicles will use the bungie cord technique to prevent wind damage and dislocation
2) Every Controller will be located within 15 feet of all props that it controls
a) All props will have 250 pixels or less per port - minimum exceptions
b) Begin the use of long range receivers to minimize cables
c) Every Prop will be examined and tested for any dark pixel strings and replaced if defective.
d) Remove all pixel adapters that go from 3 wire string to a 4 wire string. (Keep only one type of pixel string per prop - no mixing)
e) Every prop will be mounted and reinforced against weather related damages
3) Mapping and Rendering
a) All mapping will be re-examined, altered and placed in a mapping file per vendor
b) Render order for the Master View will be optimized for maximum prop effects to be displayed
c) Every sequence render will be at the "Per Preview" level.
4) Training
a) Determine the areas that lack sufficient skill and take training to improve in that area. Go to FMM, Ohio, Heartland and Texas Conferences for socializing, vendor relations, training.
