↟ BZN | MT We started wild flower business was born in 2015 & quickly became specialized in event floral.

Since then we have expanded our services to teach workshops, partner with local business & our online boutique. Our mission is to bring beautiful, cutting edge designs to life while being ecologically responsible & contentious. We do this by focusing on sourcing locally grown, in season blooms & using innovate solutions so that we can bring you the freshest flowers to your door (or your friends & loved ones doors). Our designs are inspired by this wild + open space that we get to live in… the textures, color palettes & movement that happen in nature. We pair that with modern techniques & design elements to create something truly special every time.

DESIGN NOTES 02 | The Art of Interpretation — Part 2
In Part 1, we explored the palette, vessels, and creative direction behind an event we designed alongside Bash at Lone Mountain Ranch this summer.
Now, the flowers.
Something eclectic, unexpected, and understated, but with a quiet confidence. Bold without being loud. Unique without trying too hard. A little unconventional, but still timeless. Grounded, but never kitschy.
Translating those subtleties into the flowers themselves is where so much of the creative work happens.
I spend hours considering floral varieties, colors, textures, and shapes. Curating floral orders with intention, searching for interesting forms, subtle variations in tone, and the details that give an arrangement its character.
It’s also about knowing when to let a particular flower take the lead. When an interesting shape or an unusual texture adds more to a composition than simply adding more flowers ever could.
Each selection has a purpose, but the finished work should never feel overly considered. There should still be a sense of spontaneity, movement, and life.
The ordering, the sourcing, the hours spent refining a palette — these aren’t simply the logistics of floral design. They are the foundation of the creative work.
And here are the results of that flower order — designed, up close and personal.

DESIGN NOTES 02 | The Art of Interpretation — Part 1
For this design study, we’re revisiting an event we created alongside Bash this summer at Lone Mountain Ranch.
Our creative conversations left us with a very distinct sense of direction. Something eclectic yet understated. Unexpected but timeless. Bold without being loud.
There is a certain skill in recognizing the subtleties of a vision, understanding what someone is trying to express, even when it isn’t easily put into words.
How do you translate those nuances into a floral environment?
For me, it’s about understanding the relationships between elements. How an unexpected color can shift an entire palette. How the character of a vessel can influence the flowers it holds. How something traditional can sit alongside something unconventional and feel entirely natural.
It’s not simply about choosing beautiful things. It’s about understanding why they belong together and how those choices contribute to a larger story.
Here, a look at the palette and vessels that began to bring this particular vision to life.
Next, post, part 2: the flowers.

It feels like Ralph Lauren’s world translated into a floral environment.
Rich textures, tailored details, abundant greenery, and warm candlelight. Layered without feeling overdone. Refined, but inviting.
You may have seen some of the behind-the-scenes moments or a few sneak peeks from this day, but this one deserves a moment of its own.
We’ve designed many events at Sage Lodge over the years, but this intimate Tuesday wedding brought an entirely new perspective to a space we know so well. A complete room transformation, thoughtfully designed and brought to life by many hands.
In a world where beautiful imagery can be generated in seconds, there’s something special about spaces created with intention, care, and human hands. Spaces that bring people together, invite them to linger, and become part of their memories.
Because perhaps the real luxury isn’t just how a space looks, but how it makes you feel and the people you get to share it with.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE WORK.
The art, the ideas, the vision — none of it comes to life without the people behind it.
A little (and incredibly insufficient) shoutout to everyone who has been part of this team, part of the journey, and this hard but very fulfilling work.
We’re not quite finished with our season — we have one more weekend of beautiful events next weekend. But before we get there, I want to take a moment to say thank you.
To everyone who’s followed along, supported Wild Blume, and especially to the people who have poured their blood, sweat, tears and creativity into this work, this year and in years past.
I’m so grateful for what we’ve created, the people I’ve gotten to create it with, and for all of the things to come.
For a little while, I’m just going to sit with that gratitude before making all of next year’s grand plans. Because as anyone in this industry knows — there is always work to be done, things to improve on, dreams to map out, ideas to bring to life and moments that we get to be a part of.
So much love 🤎
Sue
PS did an absolute terrible job getting team photos at events this year, but suffice it to say— it has been the very best season, next to the very best people.

DESIGN BRIEF / A Collected Garden
A collected garden where old-world charm meets modern color composition.
An unexpected mix of color, texture, and movement. Soft peach dahlias, deep burgundy calla lilies, touches of blue, and seasonal foliage create a palette that feels romantic, layered, and just a little unconventional.
Warm linens, patterned china, dusty blue accents, and mixed metallics add depth and character, creating a look that feels part old-world, part modern, and intentionally collected.
A thoughtful balance of the unexpected and the familiar.
This palette was such a fun creative challenge, and we loved seeing it come together—from the initial mockup and placing the order to the final ex*****on. We’re so happy with how it turned out.

Something blue.
As the creative director of Wild Blume, there are certain palettes that just speak to me. This is one of them.
Maybe it’s the shift into fall, the changing landscape, or all the richness and texture that come with the season.
And then there’s the blue. A little unexpected against those warm autumn tones, but somehow it feels completely at home.
I’ve always loved those moments in nature when something surprises you. I think that carries into how I approach floral design. Sometimes it’s the unexpected element that makes everything come together.
And with that, we’re heading outside this weekend to enjoy the changing colors and crisp fall air.
After a season that demands the majority of weekends, knowing a slow start and a fall hike is ahead is calming to the nervous system.
Savor the moments {as my mom always says}.
Back Monday.

A little insight into how we approach design.
We love abundance, unexpected color and movement, but even the most expressive work requires balance. Thoughtful composition, moments of restraint and knowing when to edit are what allow all those elements to work together.

A little insight into how we approach design.
We love abundance, unexpected color and movement, but even the most expressive work needs moments of restraint. Knowing what to leave out is just as important as knowing what to put in.
