Ember Notes Candles Hand-poured candles with hidden notes inside. Small moments of calm that spark a smile.

Ember Notes started from a simple desire to create moments of calm in busy, full lives. I’ve always believed that small, intentional details can completely change how a day feels. Lighting a candle has a way of setting the tone, slowing things down, and making space to breathe. I wanted to take that feeling one step further by adding something meaningful inside each candle. Every hidden note is meant to lift your day and spark a smile, whether you’re keeping the candle for yourself or gifting it to someone you love. Ember Notes is a family-run business built on the idea that comfort, joy, and encouragement can live in the smallest moments

Unpopular opinion: Self-care has become way too much work. 👀

Somewhere along the way, taking care of ourselves turned into another list of things we're supposed to accomplish.

And for women who are already juggling a million things, that's the last thing we need.

I don't want to schedule relaxation. I want to enjoy the moments I already have.

That's the thinking behind Ember Notes Candles.

We're not against taking care of yourself. We're against the idea that it has to be complicated.

Sometimes the simplest things make the biggest difference.

Tell me, what's one self-care routine you've tried that felt like MORE work?

Last December, I took my kids to a holiday vendor event so we could pick up a few Christmas gifts from local businesses.

There were SO many people. So many booths. So much going on. 🥴🤣

I left happy because we found some great gifts, but I was completely overwhelmed.

I actually told my kids in the car, “There is NO way I’m doing vendor events when we launch our candles.”

Welp. 😂

Fast forward a few months and online sales weren’t getting the traction I had hoped for. I joined a candle business mastermind, and one of the first things my coach recommended was getting out from behind the computer and doing in-person events.

Talk to people. Let them smell the candles. Watch their reactions. Get real feedback.

Basically...go do the exact thing I said I wasn’t going to do. 🤣

So here we are, two months into vendor events, and I am SO glad I changed my mind.

Building this business continues to remind me that sometimes the thing you’re avoiding is the exact thing you need to try.

Here are 5 things vendor events have taught me so far...

Some kinds of tired are obvious.

Then there’s the kind where you finally sit down, but your brain is still running through tomorrow’s schedule, the laundry, that email you forgot to answer, what everybody needs, and everything you’re afraid you’ll forget.

Meet candle number two from The Permission Slip Collection:

My Body Is Resting, But My Brain Is On Overtime.

This one is for the woman whose body has clocked out, but her mind is still going.

The Permission Slip Collection launches this Saturday, and you’ll be able to shop online or in person at our vendor event.

If you’ve ever finally sat down and realized your brain still had a full shift left, this one is for you.

Meet the candle that started The Permission Slip Collection:

I Said I Want A Break, Not A Breakdown.

This whole collection started with that one sentence. I made it as a sticker first, and the more I looked at it, the more I knew it needed to become a candle.

But I didn’t want to just put it into our signature line. I wanted this collection to feel different. Brighter. More playful. A little nostalgic. And very, very relatable.

Because sometimes you don’t need a full reset. You just need five minutes where nobody needs anything from you.

This Saturday, The Permission Slip Collection will be available online and in person at our vendor event.

If this candle just called you out, tell me in the comments. And if you want launch updates and first access, join The Permission List.

Ever wish your space could feel calm in seconds?

Our room sprays are perfect for those moments when you don’t have time to light a candle but still want your home to feel fresh, clean, and put together.

A few sprays can shift the mood of a room and help you feel more settled, more centered, and more like yourself again.

Keep one in your bathroom, your office, or anywhere you need a quick reset during a full day.
