In this Venice, California home by Base Tan Interiors, pattern becomes architecture.

Sisu brings movement and structure to the space, guiding the eye through each room while complementing the home’s clean lines and warm material palette. 

The classic herringbone layout adds a layer of craftsmanship and character, creating visual interest without competing with the surrounding design.

Because Sisu is crafted from European white oak with a matte finish, the pattern feels soft and understated rather than formal, allowing the floor to add texture, depth, and rhythm while maintaining the relaxed, light-filled atmosphere that defines California living.

When designer Edgerton Studio set out to create a warm, inviting atmosphere for Adair Kitchen’s newest location, she needed a floor that could withstand the demands of a busy full-service restaurant without sacrificing character. Her choice: Happy Hour.

Featuring the natural variation of unstained white oak, Happy Hour highlights organic grain patterns and knots that bring depth and authenticity to the space.

Its oiled finish enhances the wood’s raw beauty, creating a tactile connection to nature while offering the durability required for high-traffic environments.

In Scandinavia, making products sustainably is the default.

Many of our floors come from Swedish factories where thought and intention is embedded in every step.

Each plank begins with carefully sourced wood from responsibly managed forests, then moves through a process designed to maximize stability, longevity, and material efficiency.

Wood scraps, sawdust, and production waste are collected and repurposed into biofuel that helps power and heat the factories themselves, creating a more circular manufacturing process.

When you see the level of care behind every plank, you understand why these floors feel different.
