Flea by the Sea

Flea by the Sea showcases new items and vintage decor that has been creatively redesigned to keep customers eager to visit often. Flea by the Sea, "vintage decor and more" is all about putting forth a whimsical collection of refreshed vintage finds mixed with new decor accessories that will create a home filled with happiness. Shirley previously owned Serendipity in League City and is no stranger

to retail. Shirley's talent to decorate and re-create designs is simply amazing. “We try to recycle as much as possible,” Shirley explains, “we like to take old pieces that may be worn and either paint them or restore them, and we also like to take things that are no longer useful and reinvent them to be something else.”

All of the restoration and decorating is done by Shirley, and Flea by the Sea also carries a wide assortment of antique and vintage pieces in their original condition, specifically selected and presented as decorative home furnishings. Not everyone likes old stuff, so Flea by the Sea carries a wide variety of new items as well. Homemade Soaps by Kala come in Seaweed and Sea Salt varieties, made from all-natural ingredients. You will also find a series of candles produced by Anchor, which use reworked beer bottles as their base. Rewined Candles are cast in old wine bottles and available in scents reminiscent of wine varietals such as Merlot, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio. Nestled throughout the store are various handbags, signage, jewelry, beachy sleep shirts, and other trinkets. Shirley says, “we have something for everyone at every price point, from two dollars on up.”

The continuous introduction of vintage and new items throughout our store, heightens the desire to return to see what has been added.
