Thank you to our partner, LINX Lighting & Controls, for inviting Brightline Lighting to participate in “Lighting & Line Drives” at Petco Park during a Padres/Dodgers game last week. We loved the experience of The Ultimate Skybox rooftop overlooking the park and the opportunity to connect with new SoCal industry colleagues and the LINX team.

Looking forward to a long and successful partnership with LINX!

🦾Sinclair’s WTOV-TV in Ohio recently transformed its studio into a digitally enhanced broadcast space, complete with three distinct sets and immersive LED wall backgrounds. The goal was to create a more dynamic, flexible environment for today’s multi-platform news production.

Brightline Lighting supported the project with a mix of new LED fixtures and upgrades to existing systems, which brought greater visual impact to the space. From the main anchor desk to green screen and interview areas, the lighting is designed for everything from traditional broadcasts to walk-and-talk segments. It’s an example of how modern lighting can elevate both the look and functionality of a studio, without starting from scratch.

🔦New Scenic Design at Sinclair’s WTOV Features New and Upgraded Brightline Lighting Complement

📍Bridgeville, Penn., April 13, 2026 - Sinclair, Inc. station WTOV sits atop a hill in Mingo Junction, Ohio - near where the Academy Award-winning film The Deer Hunter was shot in 1978. A mural of the film still adorns the wall of a building at the bottom of the hill.

The station’s welcoming atmosphere reflects the consistency of its long-term management combined with its ability to adopt a new stylistic approach, while maintaining its core vision to deliver balanced and timely news. For example, WTOV NEWS9's Vice-President and General Manager, Tim McCoy joined the station as a news videographer in 1981 and has shepherded it through decades of change, including ensuring that its new design is optimized for a dynamic look and multi-platform news production.

With Sinclair’s support, WTOV transformed their studio into a digitally enhanced broadcast center that delivers live news programming through a variety of electronic and color-changing backgrounds. Sinclair’s Eric Castagne, Assistant Director of Television Production at Sinclair, took the lead designing the electronic sets, with support from Director of Television Production, Mark Nadeau.

Brightline Lighting Partner Sam Cercone, a proud Ohio native, visited the studio after it went online. What he witnessed at WTOV was a brilliant lighting and set design, optimized within the existing space.

We couldn't agree more with this piece by writer Michael Grotticelli in Systems Contractor News about the importance of proper equipment installation: "Accidents can also happen in corporate boardrooms and other Pro AV production spaces. That’s why it’s critical to safely mount, secure, and conceal equipment. Safety involves a combination of proper planning and the correct hardware that accounts for weight load, structural integrity, and proper cable management. Although they might cost extra, sturdy racks and appropriate mounting hardware can be beneficial for the longevity of your equipment."

Equipment installation safety and cable management applies to conference rooms as much as production studios.

Bridgeville, Penn. – February 4, 2026 – Ta**us Technologies, a Dallas-area professional AV systems integrator, has upgraded its in-house podcast studio with brightlinelp’s AV/720 low-voltage lighting system, and the results are already paying commercial dividends. What began as a technical refresh to replace basic fluorescent overheads has become a strategic move to create a far more polished, professional production that engages customers, partners, and prospects in a direct, visual way.

Ta**us purchased an AV/720 system for an integration project with Associa - the largest community management company in North America. After witnessing the advantages of the AV/720 controlling 17 fixtures, the Ta**us team knew they wanted the same high-quality look and ease of operation in their studio.

“Our podcast, Ta**us Tech Talk, is how we explain our work, train technicians and connect with our partners,” said Corey Church, Vice President of Technical Operations, Ta**us Technologies. “We weren’t satisfied with the flat, inconsistent look of our old lighting. Moving to Brightline’s AV/720 was a key part of the studio upgrade. The new Brightline Lighting fixtures with the AV/720 control provides the clarity and polish our videos needed to represent the Ta**us brand and our partners in the most engaging way possible.”
