September is here and although its nearly 90°F in Philadelphia today, we don't care...it's time to get into the autumnal spirit! 🍁

The Despina Hat, designed by features a fun-to-knit slipped stitch pattern that creates a diamond motif reminiscent of stained glass windows.

This pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up, with both written and charted instructions. Top it off with a pom pom and a KW leather tag for the perfect fall accessory!

🧶🎉 IT’S HERE! The Knitted Knockers Yarn Shop Challenge starts TODAY! 🎉🧶

Yarn shops across the country are joining us for a month of stitching, creating, and giving back. 💕 Throughout September, customers are making Knitted Knockers and dropping off their finished pairs right at their local participating yarn shop.

And there’s a little extra incentive to keep those needles and hooks moving! 😉 At the end of September, the top five individual makers nationwide will each win a $25 gift card to their participating yarn shop. 🎁🧶

Why September? Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, requests for Knitted Knockers increase every year. We want to be ready to provide a knocker to every woman who needs one.

Every pair made this month helps us be ready for her. 💗

Fun Fact: Most people crochet tighter than they chain. Your starting row can often end up narrower than the rest of your piece.

Fix this by using a hook that is one size larger for your foundation chain, then switch to your regular hook for the subsequent rows.
