This one might get some mixed reviews but I think its fair to share. So yesterday I saw someone riding one of the Amazon "bat fox" helmets. I would have sworn it was the real fox drop frame but notices the tiny word bat. So as I sit here eating breakfast on a Sunday morning I did some looking on Amazon to educate myself on bootleg helmets. This is what ai had to say
If you dont want to read it just note that it says the real fox helmet had passed the Virginia Tech testing with a number one rating for crash protection while the Amazon one is essentially rated... legal to sell in the USA for child safety like the little seatbelt in your toddlers high chair...lol
**While the BATFOX helmet in your image mimics the aesthetic of the Fox Dropframe, their safety performance profiles are quite different. The Fox Dropframe is an industry-leading helmet in terms of verified safety ratings, whereas BATFOX is a budget-friendly option that meets standard requirements but lacks higher-level impact protection features.

Key Takeaways
Verified Performance: The Fox Dropframe Pro earned a 5-star safety rating and was ranked as the safest open-face helmet ever tested by Virginia Tech at the time of its evaluation.
Rotational Protection: Most Fox Dropframe models feature MIPS, a low-friction layer designed to reduce rotational motion transferred to the brain during a crash. Standard BATFOX models generally do not include this specific technology.
E-Bike Standards: The Fox Dropframe Pro is certified to the NTA-8776 standard, meaning it is tested for protection at higher speeds (up to 45kph) typical of e-bike riding.
Budget vs. Performance: While the BATFOX meets the legal safety standards required for sale in the US and EU, it is designed as a budget alternative (roughly $40–$80) compared to the premium Fox model (~$200–$300).
