Ok, guys listen… this is about my 3rd time making tamales, in my life. I know these are not pretty. The flavor was on point, but looks, not so much. I’m going to make a small batch in the next couple of weeks. I have ordered what’s needed to make the tamales look good. I’ve already mastered the taste.

Just know these are New Mexican tamales. These will not have a traditional Mexican flavor.

If my next text batch, turns out as good as I plan on, I’ll will have some tamales for sale over the holidays.

Right now my flavors would be green chile chicken and red chile pork.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get fresh green chile this year. I still have some from last year, so I’ll use that up and then everything until next season will have to be red. And honestly, I’m loving the red more than the green anyways!

One more time before I decide whether I’m cooking.

Would anyone be interested in carne adovada burritos on Friday the 4th?

They’ll have beans and potatoes and can be smothered in red chile.

Let me know for sure so I know whether to buy everything!

Hey all! I apologize for not updating sooner.

I had my first radiation treatment and idk if it’s something I’ll want to continue doing.

I am going to call tomorrow and try to get in for an appointment and see what the radiation oncologist suggests.

Then, if all goes well, I’ll continue treatment and start over 😉
