Brooklyn Botanic Garden does not disappoint!

Winter said, “One more thing…” ❄️
Just when we packed away the gloves and emotionally committed to spring, she shows up like an ex who “just wants closure.”

Alright, fine. One last snow dance… but after this, we’re manifesting 60° and iced coffee season. ☕🌤️

Sunset Park Blizzard 2026: A Dramatic Reading

They said 6 a.m.

The storm said,
“Sweetie… I arrive when I’m ready.”

By 5:30 the sky finally chose violence.
Wet. Heavy. Personal.

By 7 p.m.?

Four to five inches in a couple of hours.
Not a dusting. Not cute.

Commitment.

Streetlights turned cinematic.

Snow falling like it had a Broadway contract.

A couple built a snowman
so tall it could run for mayor
(And honestly? Might manage plowing better.)

Dogs were living their best chaotic lives.

Sledders were out here risking their dignity.

I missed filming them because I was busy
standing there like,
“Okay Brooklyn… I see you.”

Cars? Buried.
Bikes? Gone.
Fences? Iced like bakery display cases.
Snowplows rumbling through the avenues
like annoyed landlords.

And then — buzzzzzz.
Mayor Mandami announces a travel ban.
Translation:
“Everybody stay home and reflect.”

But for a few minutes?
It was quiet.
Wind howling.
Snow falling sideways.
Brooklyn pretending to be calm.

Like it doesn’t charge $3,000 for a one-bedroom.

Blizzard 2026.

10/10 for drama.
Would watch again from inside.

Snow Day! Dec 27, 2025 in Sunset Park

12/01/2025

I arrived at the too late in the season to capture the colors i had hope for, but looking closely, I was able to find a few gems.

11/30/2025

I tried something new today. Using a bit more video than usual as I waited for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to open.

11/28/2025

Just when I thought I found all of the colors at Green-Wood cemetary, I discovered another patch of wonder.

Greenwood Cemetery is a true botanical gem, winter, spring, summer and fall.

🍁
Fall finds me again and again.
Ok, maybe I go looking for it.

Everywhere I go—mountains, valleys, miles of gold.
But this year, she found me two blocks from home.
Greenwood Cemetery.
Brooklyn on fire with color.
Magic hiding in plain sight. ✨

Somewhere between Connecticut’s quiet roads,
Massachusetts’ sleepy towns,
and the long ribbon of highway leading toward Stowe…
I chased the color of autumn like a kid chasing a kite.

The leaves were loud, the air was soft,
and Stowe — grainy, dreamy Stowe —
looked like a postcard someone left too close to the sun.
Maybe I was a little early,
but beauty doesn’t check a calendar.
It just arrives… and lets you stand in it.

Here’s to fall 2021 —
a road trip of gold, red, wanderlust,
and all the little moments that felt like magic
even before the trees fully woke up. 🍂✨

Madrid in the fall . . . If you need a sign to slow down—this is it

Golden trees.
Quiet paths.
Bikes drifting through tunnels of light.
A bride in the distance.
And me—realizing somewhere in El Retiro
that life was shifting in ways I didn’t expect…
and deeply needed.

This wasn’t just autumn.
It was a reset.
A reminder to breathe.
A season that changed me—
in all the right ways. ✨

If this found you,
drop a ❤️ so it reaches someone else who needs a moment of peace today.

One of my happy places is Brooklyn Bridge Park. Fabulous city views mixed with nature, especially during the fall.
