During my time in London, I had the pleasure and privilege of visiting the home of an exceptional art collector. I was especially captivated by the intriguing wall cabinet installation, which was also functional. There’s no better feeling than knowing your client’s project is on track, with ample time invested into ensuring the details are done right. Many of the mistakes made on renovation and design projects are direct results of rushing, careless oversights, and sometimes simple human error after long nights + early mornings cramming to get things done.

If you’re on the fence about starting your design project, the best advice I can offer is to start, and start early!

Spending the morning with at the was both delightful and inspiring.

Hurvin Anderson is a celebrated British artist known for his richly layered paintings that explore memory, identity, migration, and the experience of living between cultures. Born in Birmingham to Jamaican parents, Anderson draws inspiration from both British and Caribbean life, often depicting barbershops, interiors, and lush landscapes through a blend of figuration and abstraction.

His work reflects themes of diaspora and belonging, capturing spaces that feel both personal and universal. Currently on view at Tate Britain is a major exhibition featuring approximately 80 works spanning more than three decades of his career, offering a powerful look into his evolving exploration of Black British identity, memory, and place.
