SPECTATOR
Artist talk and tour of Spectator artwork by Adam Frank

Hear Adam Frank talk about the inspiration behind Spectator, a recently completed public art installation commissioned for the Ottawa Art Gallery Expansion and Arts Court Redevelopment Project. Adam will also talk about the public art commission process and the development of the artwork through to installation at Arts Court. An artwork tour will follow the talk, with an opportunity to participate in Spectator.

25 years in the making… I am pleased to announce that SPECTATOR is now installed. SPECTATOR is a permanent interactive art installation for the city of Ottawa on the roof and inside of Arts Court & The Ottawa Art Gallery. This dynamic artwork is the world’s first living billboard. It displays its entire viewing history one person at a time. Please come to in to add your eyes to the collection.

LUCID GLASS CITY places clouds and radiating sun rays inside a monumental glass mirror. The cloudscape billows in three dimensions as viewers walk down the Monroe Street Concourse at Toledo’s new Glass City Convention Center. This is the largest, seamless LUCID mirror in the world.

VITAL is now installed in the lobby of the new UPMC Mercy Vision and Rehabilitation Institute. This work combines a wall-sized tree mural with a video projection of leaves and branches swaying in the breeze. This method produces a new type of ‘living’ symbol of health and life. Thank you to all at for the opportunity to be a part if the new vision care facility.

STREAM is a waterfall that listens. This installation in San Pedro Creek Culture Park merges the sounds of San Antonio with the flow of the creek. When a sound is made into the microphone sculpture, it becomes visualized as animated light inside the 250 foot waterfall in real time. While the sculpture is dormant, the live Texas Public Radio signal actives the . ��Thank you to the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County and the City of San Antonio. ��
