My birthday is coming and we're POPPING UP again! 🥳🍷🕯️

That's right, my 2nd Annual Birthday Sip & Shop Pop-Up is happening, and because I'm turning another year wiser (and even more fabulous 💅🏽), I'm celebrating with YOU!

Come sip, sniff, shop, and celebrate another trip around the sun with me! ☀️

And because I love a good party favor, the FIRST 15 PEOPLE will receive a FREE 4 oz candle in a surprise scent! 🎁 I'll also have complimentary w**e while it lasts 🍷

It gets a lot more complicated when sticking to them costs $5K, $20K, and more

I’ve bootstrapped Paige’s Candle Co. without investors. Not because I'm against investment; I’m not.

But building this way has made me realize that the bigger a company grows, the more complicated these decisions become. More money, more opportunities, more gray areas.

And as the late great Christopher George Latore Wallace eloquently said:

"Mo Money, Mo Problems" 🚬

This is what supporting small businesses can look like 🙌🏼🕯️

Recently, Paige’s Candle Co. was invited to a corporate small business pop-up in NYC and this one felt UHMAYZING ❤️

I can’t share the company (you know I would if I could 😂), but they truly showed up for the small businesses they invited 👌🏼 They purchased PCC products for employee gifting & a company raffle, hosted us for a pop-up, AND gave me the opportunity to present Paige’s Candle Co. and all the ways we work with corporate clients.

As PCC grows, I’ve become much more intentional about the opportunities I say yes to and the companies I work with. An invitation alone isn’t always support. Supporting a small business means actually investing in what we’ve built, and this company understood that 🙏🏼❤️

Two years ago, I donated a candle-making workshop to South Asian Youth Action

This summer, they came back and hired Paige’s Candle Co. for another one 🥹

This time, we headed to a junior high school in Queens where a group of summer youth got to try candle making for the first time.

One of my favorite parts of these workshops is watching a kid go from “Wait…how do you make a candle?” to choosing fragrances, mixing, creating and realizing, “Oh, I made this!” 😭❤️

Giving back to NYC communities has been part of PCC's mission since the beginning, so having an organization we originally donated our services to come back as a paying client is pretty cool 😎

Also, side bar: Smart Boards are creepy.

Give me chalk and dust. I want to clap two erasers together and accidentally inhale 40 years of chalk particles 👩🏼‍🏫🎬

What a GLORIOUS time at Luminary | Networking · Education · Events · Coworking 😍‼️

I had the pleasure of joining Luminary’s “Scale Without Losing Your Soul: Tools, Systems & Strategies to Grow” panel, and what a meaningful and impactful conversation it was.

We talked strategy, pivoting, and what it really means to define success at different stages of the entrepreneurship journey; because growth doesn’t have to mean losing sight of yourself or why you started.

I had the immense pleasure of sharing the panel with some incredible women, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share my story, lessons learned, and a few laughs along the way🙏🏼✨
