Starting May 12, the third year of the Brown Deer Medallion Hunt sponsored by Café Corazon has begun in Brown Deer. The Brown Deer Community Foundation is coordinating a medallion hunt for all community members in the Milwaukee metropolitan area to enjoy. Every Tuesday and Friday morning, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel will be posting clues about the medallion’s whereabouts in Brown Deer. Read through the clues carefully and research to see if you can find the medallion before anyone else.
The first person to find the medallion will win $2,500 and a taco bar buffet with past winners at the Cafe Corazon location in Brown Deer. The medallion will be in the shape of a skull about three inches in diameter, portraying the Café Corazon colors. Please note that no property, vegetation, or the ground needs to be damaged to find the medallion. The medallion is also not hidden on a private for-profit commercial property. The concept of the medallion hunt is that it can be hidden anywhere in Brown Deer. If you find the medallion, call Brown Deer Village Manager Tyler Burkart at 414-371-3051. A big thank you to Jean Wells for her work designing and making the medallion.
Day 3
Listen up and put your pride on the shelf.
Make sure to read the clue because I can’t find myself.
I am camped in a place around some taller grass.
Don’t hurt any vegetation or we will be at an impasse.
Pickleball is becoming one of the most popular sports.
Brown Deer is looking to add several courts.
I’m resting near a spot where people love to play it.
Just make sure you stay hydrated and wear the right outfit.
