If any of you are concerned about Traveling right now. Czech Republic is one of the safest countries to be in. We will not be in Prague, except when you land and leave to fly back home. We are not going to be in highly congested areas with tons of people. We are going into the lovely Mountain areas where the beads, buttons and glassware are made. I recently looked at the Worldwide warnings and they are referring to the Middle East, of which we are NOT going to going at all. Thank you for reading this and hopefully we will be seeing on our Czech Tour. Thank you, J-Me of Wild Things Beads

One year while in Czech Republic, we got an offer to buy many, many kilos of Vintage Glass Nailhead Beads.
Made in Bohemia, circa 1865 thru 1915
There were many colors made, mainly black, but also some transparent colors and even some with added finishes applied to them. There were mostly a lot of one holes made, but also 2 holes, 3 holes, 4 holes and 6 holes. The more holes there are, they more rare that bead. They were used by seamstresses to sew onto clothing, shoes, gloves, purses and more. We use them nowadays on beadwork.

Some Yummy Glass beads from Czech Republic. So many colors to choose from.

Beads, Buttons and More

Wild Things Beads is an American importer of glass beads manufactured in the Czech Republic and Germany, supplying bead stores and the costume jewelry industry. The owners are J-Me & Guy Lynn, a wife and husband team. Both were in corporate employment during the beginning days of Wild Things.

They have been in business since 1982, starting off in the arts and crafts industry, selling at flea markets, craft fairs, church fetes, art shows, and Quartzite -- Arizona; before specializing in glass beads, first as a retail bead store, then in 1998 as an import warehouse.

Originally, J-Me sold her beadwork on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley. Wearing her own custom made Christmas outfit, J-Me was known as Mrs. Claus on Telegraph.

She opened a Bead Store in Livermore, California in 1992; which was where they lived for 24 years raising their son Rob. When the town grew too big for them, they moved up into the mountains near Jackson in Amador County, closing the bead store but continuing with their passion by becoming a wholesaler of beads to the trade with a warehouse building.
