A couple blankets I’ve made recently. The blanket in the first picture was made using the drunken granny stitch and repurposed yarn from a different blanket I made that i wasn’t happy with. The blanket in the second picture was made with granny squares and then crocheted them together with a continuous join. The yarn was yarn I had on hand for years that I had bought with intentions of making something cool but that never happened so now it’s a blanket. There is also some repurposed yarn in there too.

I crocheted a floor cushion using yarn from the coffee table cover I made years ago. We don’t have the coffee table anymore so I repurposed the yarn in this project. I used the monster pouf pattern by KT and the Squid, which was a free pattern. The bottom (pictured first) is removable so you can wash it and stuff it with extra blankets or pillows. I had a surplus of plastic grocery bags so that is what I used.

Not a crochet project, but still pretty cool I think. I made a “fire” for our fireplace that we will probably never use because we live in south Texas. This is the flame from the Zelda video game. It was easy and fun to make. I found a pattern for the flame on Pinterest and used black foam board, colored card stock paper, a 1 inch square paper punch, glue, ruler and pencil to construct it.

I made this mushroom basket from the free Yarnspirations pattern shown. It was fun and easy to make and I think it’s super cute. There are so many color combos that could be done, and I thought you could also use browns and leave off the spots to make it look like an acorn.
