Glass Paradox

Glass Paradox Glass Paradox artware is hand-painted in my studio in Brownville Jct. ME. The designs are all my ow People loved it and I soon tried others.

Glass painting started as a hobby, at the kitchen table, and kind of mushroomed from there. I enjoyed creating pretty, useful things from yard sale finds and giving them to my family and friends. After a time, I had created far more pretty things than I could give to people I knew so, I attempted a craft fair. Through the years I have learned a lot about glass, mostly through trial and error! I di

scovered that some glass could not withstand the heating process and would disintegrate... putting an end to my art. As a result, I stopped buying my pieces from yard sales and sought out a product that would constantly allow me to have a useful finished piece. People started looking for my artware and wanting to add to the pieces they had bought from me before. I tried consignment at a few local shops and was successful there too! Today, my artware can be found in galleries, boutiques and small shops throughout the country, as well as online. I also continue to do a few retail craft fairs each year. I still paint each piece myself, just not at the kitchen table! My designs are unique in using the entire glass, they are complimented everywhere I go. I know you will enjoy them!

It’s a cold and rainy start to the last weekend of May but that’s ok, it’s an all-day studio day as I paint orders for several Maine retailers.
Maxwell’s in Portland, Bell Farms Shop in York and Handmade Maine in Norway all have orders pending!

It was a busy weekend at the studio!
Retailers are already restocking from their preseason orders (translates to lots of painting to do), plus a couple Etsy orders, a few special orders and orders going out from last weekend's Functional Seconds and Discontinued online event. I am going to be keeping UPS & the USPS busy this week!

Messages from the weekend online sale will be delayed until Tuesday do to an order shipping to a seasonal retailer that took much longer to box than anticipated.

Wow, The Discontinued and Functional Seconds event was a lot of fun!
Just a reminder, I’ll be sending FB messages to everyone who “ordered” Monday evening (check your pending messages if we’re not FB friends or you’ve never messaged Glass Paradox) and artware will be scheduled for porch pick-up or shipping on Wednesday.
Have a great week!
