One of the things I've enjoyed most about this little shell-carving journey is meeting new people.

Today I'm starting a commissioned seahorse piece for a new friend who actually has seahorses. I didn't even know that was a thing!

I'll share some behind-the-scenes clips, including a few tips, tricks, and probably a mistake or two. That's all part of the process.

Hope you'll join me for the ride.

Have a blessed day, friends.

60 Days.

Today marks two months since I nervously made my very first shell post.

At the time, I had no idea what would happen. I didn’t have a plan at all, just a heartfelt feeling. I just felt led to share something God had placed on my heart.

Sixty short days later, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.

Thank you to every person who stopped scrolling long enough to look at a shell.

Thank you to every person who followed the page.

Thank you to every customer who trusted me enough to bring one of my creations into their home.

Thank you to every person who left an encouraging comment, sent a message, shared a post, or prayed for me along the way.

And a special thank you to the hundreds of people who have asked, “Can you teach me how to do that?”

My answer is usually the same…

I can’t. But God can.

Because the truth is, these shells aren’t really the story.

The story is what happens when we stop putting God second, third, or somewhere on the list and start putting Him first.

When I finally started doing that in my own life, doors began opening that I never could have opened myself.

This page may look like it’s about shells, but for me it’s always been about something much bigger: faith, encouragement, hope, and sharing the gifts we’ve been given.
It’s my way of sharing my faith in my own special God Given way. I wasn’t called to sing, preach, or even teach, and I’m so glad!!! lol.
It reminds me of Noah…..”ummmm, Lord?, we ain’t had rain around here in awhile…..you want me to build a boat?”……

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in these last 60 days, it’s this:

Don’t let the world talk you out of what God is calling you into.

The world will tell you you’re too old, too late, not talented enough, not qualified enough, or that nobody cares.

Don’t listen.

Take the step.

Make the post.

Start the project.

Share the gift.

You never know whose life God might touch through your simple act of obedience.

Thank you all for being part of this journey.

I truly appreciate every single one of you.

Here’s to the next chapter.

Baby Sea Turtle is finally center stage today.

Tiny fact: Some baby sea turtles spend their early years drifting in ocean currents, a period scientists call the ‘lost years.’

I can sure relate to that!!!

Happy Monday yall.

Baby turtle is headed to LA tomorrow. Thanks so much for your support Jennifer.

Love the beginning of a week with messages and tags like this. Thanks Amy and Brian. Have a great blessed week.

Mornin yall. And happy Sunday.

Matthew was a tax collector.

Not a preacher.
Not a disciple.
Not a church leader.

Just a man sitting at a table, doing what he’d always done.

Then Jesus walked by and said two simple words:

“Follow Me.”

And Matthew got up and followed.

I’ve always loved that story because Jesus didn’t wait for Matthew to have it all together. He didn’t ask him to clean up his past first. He didn’t ask for a resume.

He simply called him.

When new friends visit my page:

Some folks see just shells.
Some folks just see the carvings.
And some folks only see a small business, which is really just a hobby in my garage. lol.

And that’s okay, it really is….

But for me, this journey has become about so much more than making a shell.

It’s about the conversations.
The people God puts in my path.
The stories shared between strangers.
The reminders that we’re all searching for purpose, hope, and belonging.

I’ve met people through a shell that I probably never would have met otherwise.

And every now and then, God reminds me that what looks ordinary on the outside can become something much bigger when we simply follow where He leads.

Matthew followed.

I’m trying to do the same.

Not perfectly.
Just faithfully.

Have a blessed Sunday, friends.

You’re more than welcome to follow me, but I’d rather you follow Jesus Christ who loves us more than you can imagine.

“As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. ‘Follow Me,’ He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him.” — Matthew 9:9

Funny how God works sometimes.

Today was a good day. Lots of laughs. Lots of fun. Lots of food!!

But one of the best parts of the day wasn’t something I planned.

I walked into a little art store because a painting caught my eye. It was a turtle painting, and for some reason I just kept looking at it. Something about it drew me in.

As it turns out, the artist was standing right there.

What started as a simple conversation turned into one of those moments you know was bigger than chance.

We talked about art. We talked about life. We talked about faith.

Some of the things she shared with me were deeply personal and inspiring. Some of the things I shared with her were too. And as the conversation unfolded, we both realized there were a lot of similarities in our journeys.

She told me the turtle’s name was Journey.

I smiled when she said that.

Because if we’re honest, that’s what all of us are on.

A journey.

Some days we know exactly where we’re headed.

Other days we’re just taking the next step and trusting God with the rest.

Before we left, we exchanged information and talked about staying in touch. Maybe one day some of my carved shells will find a home in their art store.

Maybe they will. Maybe they won’t.

But that’s not really the point.

The point is that sometimes God uses a turtle painting, a random conversation, and two complete strangers to remind us that He is still connecting people, opening doors, and writing stories we could never write ourselves.

I hope y’all had a good Saturday.

And if you’re in a season where you’re wondering if God is still working behind the scenes…

Keep walking.

Your journey isn’t over yet. And if you’re like me it could be just a new beginning…

Meet “Journey” y’all.
