Low Tide Blessings

Low Tide Blessings Welcome to my shell carving corner—where simple shells turn into something meaningful.

A hobby turned passion, each piece is one of a kind and a quiet way I share my faith. “We are the clay, You are our potter.” Isaiah 64:8 Be blessed.

Good morning.

The number of prayer requests I’ve received this week concerning addiction and hurting families has really been heavy on my heart.

Hurting people hurt people. Addiction can blind someone to everything happening around them—the people they love, the damage being done, and the collateral damage left behind. Their focus becomes simply trying to quiet the anxiety, anger, frustration, or pain for a few hours. But when the temporary relief wears off, the cycle usually gets worse.

The good news is there is help.

But whether it’s a guy or a girl, eventually that person has to make the decision to accept it. The struggle is very real. I know because I’ve been there.

I’m not a counselor, preacher, or qualified therapist. I just know this: breaking the cycle of addiction takes action, honesty, and help. You don’t have to do it alone, but you do have to be willing to take that first step.

This morning I’m praying for the person battling addiction, and I’m praying just as hard for the families riding the emotional rollercoaster alongside them.

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
— Galatians 6:2

Prayers for all of you this morning.

And please continue to pray for my continued sobriety as well. I’m grateful for every day God gives me.

P.S. the DUI mugshot is just my testimony and proof that I shared this post with my own experiences.

I’ve never been to a funeral where the pastor or anyone else stood up and talked about how “loaded,” “rich,” or “wealthy” someone was.

As humans, we spend a lot of time talking about what people have. But when life is over, those things suddenly don’t seem to matter anymore.

That really resonated with my heart this morning.

I love nice things, man toys, great food, and a nice vacation. But they’re all just things. Things that bring temporary satisfaction.

Being blessed is a wonderful thing. My prayer this morning is that I never lose sight of where the blessing came from. Because that’s what makes having things special in the first place.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21

Lord, help me enjoy Your blessings without ever forgetting the One who gave them.

Low Tide Blessings is yours, not mine….I just work here in your your advertising department.
