The shop name comes from a combination of my grandmothers' middle names - unique women with a passion for making things for their homes and families. Initially, I started with crochet accessories and blankets and have expanded to felt floral accessories and decor. It's been a fun adventure thus far and I am excited to see how it continues from here!

It’s been a while. A little over a year, to be exact.

During that time, a lot of life happened. Some burnout, leaving one job, starting another. Zella + Kay was on maintenance mode during that time - I was keeping up with consignment at (some of my favorites), but beyond that, I was just staying afloat as a human (and sometimes not).

This change in season has brought more margin and, as a result, I think I’m going to start showing up more again here.

For those of you who are actually seeing this - you’re the real ones. Thank you for hanging with me during this now nine (!!) year journey of creating. Here’s to more handmade felt florals in your feed.
