Schedules may keep us from being in the woods, or cooking with our local group, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still light up the coals and spend time with friends enjoying some driveway cooking and good eating.

The Dutch Oven portion of supper included Baby-back Ribs, Brats and Sausage; Onion Soup, Roasted Potatoes; Baconized Brussels Sprouts; Basil Veggie Medley; and Sourdough Dinner Rolls.

The food was good, the company was great, and the flies would have impressed Pharaoh.

Our local cooking group intended to cook today, but there was a miscue and our space was not available. That didn’t stop us from cooking though! We had the groceries and the charcoal so we did a little cooking in the driveway. We experimented with our take on Chicken Parm Sliders. Basil Carrots was a simple healthy side and we went with Chocolate Cobbler for dessert to balance out the healthy part.
