Here are the October hours and updates from the Foster Closet!

October shopping hours.

⭐️⭐️⭐️WE MAY HAVE TO CLOSE A FEW DAYS IN OCTOBER DUE TO SOME REMODELING. The crossed-off dates from October 19-26 we will be CLOSED now. Thank you for understanding and watch for exciting news to come and a HUGE thank you to California Closets!

❤️We are in need of baby and kids winter clothing, along with just hoodies and sweats for teens. We always need winter snow pants and boots for kids and teens. Please do not leave donations at our gate if we are not open.

❤️We updated our systems. If you did NOT shop with us in 2025, your file was purged and you will need to re-certify with us. We will NOT be granting any exceptions. You will be treated as a NEW file, and will need to bring:

❤️Foster Parent Placement paperwork that MUST be dated within the last 12 months. If you do NOT have the placement paper dated from the last 12 months, you will need to request an updated letter from your caseworker on agency letter head confirming placement.

❤️1017/Article 6/Kinship: Must bring court order PLUS your ID.

Please remember that everyone working shifts are volunteering their time for you. We ask that while shopping you help keep us nest and organized. Thank you for understanding and don’t forget to thank the volunteers you see.

Thank you! ❤️

He couldn’t have made me happier! 🤩

My son came in from mowing the grass just now and said - Are you making brownies?

🍫🍓🍫🍓🍫🍓🍫🍓🍫🍓🍫🍓🍫🍓🍫
He had no idea what I was doing.

I am pouring Chocolate Strawberries for a custom order in gold tins.

We pour our candles in the kitchen. No baking going on here!

What a FANTASTIC compliment! 🤩😎

(Pictures of Milo for attention…..😉

Meet Milo!

Happy Adoption Day to Zeus - now Milo!
Our sweet special‑needs boy has officially found his forever home, and we couldn’t be happier. Once his new family met him at The Nickel Plate , no other dog mattered — Milo stole their hearts instantly.

This blind tripod boy has been through so much, yet he continues to shine with love, joy, and resilience. Now he’s home, cherished, and surrounded by people who adore him.

Congratulations, Milo — you’re exactly where you were meant to be. 💙🏡✨

Doing a happy dance over here at the overwhelming success of our launch of the Welcome Home Fragrance Line in Toasted Pumpkin Spice for the WNY Foster Closet .

We really didn’t know how this was gonna go. It was a kinda-scary risk to take, but your support is turning our dream into reality, and we’re so grateful. Thank you for helping us change the lives of foster children right here in Buffalo.

We still have a few items left. We are in the Showplace Building at the Erie County Fair till 10 pm tonight or you can order online at shadedperiwinkle.com
