There alot of wrong ways to waterproof a shower floor. Here are the 3 most common reasons a shower leaks:

1. No 'pre-slope' installed. This allows any water that seeps beneath the tile to slope down into the drain.

2. Improperly placed screws. Alot of times, you'll find screws or fasteners penetrating the waterproof liner especially inside the curb. Your mud bed should hold the inside of the lathe to the curb.

3. Improper cuts at the corners of the curb. This is the trickiest part of the shower liner. It takes practice and skill to make sure water doesn't slowly deteriate the curb
