Goldenrod gets a bad rap. While it’s showy blooms may be a visual indicator that allergy season is upon us, and the term “golden season” not helping the matter, it’s actually ragweed and several other airborne pollinators that are the culprits of our seasonal allergies. Dispelling this allergen myth is extremely important in preserving this vital native plant that so many beneficial pollinators visit. It’s also personally important to me as my fairy garden arrangements almost always will contain these gorgeous accent flowers.

This kitten was stuck in a tree on Crippen St for two days 🥺 I unfortunately can’t take any more cats in until I get a few adoptions and we’ve a couple cases of recurrent respiratory infections I’m trying to get a handle on before I expose another cat to our flock.

If anyone can take in this poor little thing, let me know!!
