Memories Into Treasures Send me your loved one's memories (shirts, ties, most any clothing) and I will sew them into treasures I've been sewing for what seems like all my life.

Days that I don't have time for needle and thread, I don't have time to de-stress. For me there is something calming about sewing and needlework. So.....when my dad passed away in August, I wanted to do something special for everyone in the family to remember him by. I've taken a lot of his clothes and made memory treasures. It has been a very healing thing for me and everyone I've given these thi

ngs to have truly cherished them. There are tears but it makes us remember the good times - times when we remember him wearing that shirt and holding that newborn. The real treasure of it all is when we have a picture of him in a specific shirt to make something out of that shirt for that grandchild. For years, I've been making tee shirt quilts for high school students in the area and other memory things for keepsakes and I'll still be doing that as well. This endeavor is in honor of my Dad and the great memories he has given us.
