A little update from us ✨

If you’ve been with DAISI & CO. for a while, you know we operate our studio a little differently than most florists. This time of year is typically when we take a little vacation, reset, and prepare for the next season.

Earlier this year, I shared that I would be taking some time away for my third heart surgery. I have HCM, sudden cardiac arrest + seizures, & the cardiac system I currently have is beginning to calcify, so it needs to be removed and replaced.
I had asked my cardiologist to let me wait until after wedding season so I could honor the weddings and commitments I already had on the books. Thankfully, we were able to make that happen, but because my surgery is now scheduled for November, I’ve had to rework our schedule quite a bit.

The time before surgery is also important to me personally. I want to be able to slow down, spend some intentional time with my daughter, and prepare myself mentally and physically for what’s ahead. After surgery, I’m going to need to give myself the same grace and actually take the time to recover.

So, the rest of 2026 will look a little different than what you’ve been seeing. I would love to continue taking select wedding and event bookings, especially for next season. However, restocks and regular deliveries will be moving a little slower throughout the remainder of the year while I navigate surgery and recovery.
If you were a client this past season, one of the biggest ways you can support us during this downtime is referrals & leaving us a Google review, those reviews genuinely impact how our business is found and how we receive new bookings, so they mean so much more than just a kind comment on our page.

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has trusted me with their weddings, celebrations, flowers, and special moments this year. I’ve poured a lot into this season, and now I’m giving myself permission to slow down, take care of myself, be present with my daughter, and come back ready for what’s next but don’t worry I’m not missing dance szn 💃🏽🪩

As a florist it’s a 50/50 chance your “bar floral” or pop up vendor piece gets cut from a clients budget if it’s putting them over 😔
& I hate that for my fellow vendors because collectively we are there to support the event + booking but your craft and business still deserves its ✨moment✨

If you’re on a wedding don’t be afraid to ask the coordinator if your set up was allocated a floral piece - & if it wasn’t call us for discounted rates on our ✨vendor collections✨

Fall is coming & indoor markets are thriving - set your booth apart with flowers - create color, height, texture, and a natural focal point that catches people’s attention as they’re walking by & once someone stops, you have the opportunity to turn that glance into a conversation, a sale, or a new customer.

That’s why I’ll forever advocate for vendors incorporating even a little bit of floral into their setup.

It doesn’t have to be extravagant. It doesn’t have to be expensive. 💐

A few blooms can make your booth feel intentional, elevated, inviting — and most importantly, give people a reason to stop. & if you are looking for a forever statement piece we do offer silk + faux arrangements where your investment pays itself off 🌺⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There’s something so profound about being invited back into people’s lives, over and over again - even as they enter different chapters, different seasons, and entirely different states.

When I met Sam, she was a brand-new Private at a new duty station, and I was in Ops, fresh out of a coma following my second cardiac arrest, trying to figure out where to place her in the unit. Our time serving together was short-lived, because shortly after, I retired.

A year later, we found ourselves working together again. Sam would walk in my fashion show after I had rebranded. At the time, I wanted her there because I thought she was beautiful, hardworking, and carried herself with a presence that belonged on that runway. And she did.

Almost a decade later, we would somehow end up living in the same area again.

Still Facebook friends, I received an inquiry that would ultimately refocus not only how I ran my business, but why I wanted to keep doing this work.

Sam & Beni- it has been an absolute pleasure to serve you over these last six months. What started as, “Where is the best fit for Hixon?” quickly became, “How can I show up for Sam?”

Neither of us are particularly sappy, but one thing I can say without a doubt is that I have never felt more at home in my hometown than I have since reconnecting with you and bringing all of my lives together in one place.

Everything aside, it is an absolute honor to be chosen to facilitate a day you both so deeply deserve - and to meet your partner, who I now consider family, too.

There are very few people in this world who know me and my story from start to finish, let alone people who have actually walked through it with me. Literally.

I know God has very big plans for you two, and I can’t wait to watch them unfold.

Also had to be God that I followed an Army Convoy to your wedding day 🤣✨

Thank you for allowing me to watch you walk down that stage again. 🤍

It was truly such an experience designing for these two. 🐚🌾

✨ We are a private travel floral studio based in Camas, WA, specializing in weddings throughout the PNW and destination weddings.

I kid, I kid. 😂🌸 But that’s actually why we established our Grab & Go locations throughout WA & OR.

During the summer months, I intentionally pull DAISI & CO. out of seasonal placements like The Carson Mercantile to help preserve that market for our local growers and small businesses. 🌱💐

Summer is such a beautiful opportunity to shop small, buy from your local flower farmers, and support the people growing right here in our community.

So if you notice us a little less on the carts during summer — it’s intentional. 🌸 We’re making room for the growers, farmers, and small businesses who make this season so special.

And don’t worry… you can still find a little Daisi & Co. magic at our Grab & Go locations, but a lot more local blooms in our installations.✨

Because the most meaningful celebrations don’t need a crowd.
I love when I get to curate a beautiful, intimate ceremony. 🤍

There’s something so special about being able to slow down -to witness the love, take in the little moments, and truly enjoy the work I’ve created.

Larger ceremonies often mean vendors are moving constantly, working behind the scenes from start to finish. But when it’s just us, the trees, and the people who matter most… there’s room to breathe.

Room to be present.
Room to feel.
Room to create something truly intentional.🌿
