It’s like Christmas around here! Today I took delivery of 1,000 tulip bulbs. Thank you Farmer Bailey and Johnny’s. I can’t wait to get these into the ground and growing. And… as if that wasn’t enough, I picked up a few necessities from one of my favorite shops - The Gardener's Workshop.

As the 2026 fresh flower season winds down, I want to take a moment to thank each of you who have supported our small family farm. Thank you for showing up for us. Whether you help us by sharing our posts, telling others in the community about us, or coming to see us at the farmers market - thank you.

We are expecting frost to close out our flower field as early as this weekend. It’s a bit bittersweet- while I’m ready to sleep past 5 am on a Saturday, I’ll dearly miss our market friends and customers.

I’m already looking ahead to next spring. I’ve ordered ranunculus corms — a new adventure for our farm. This week I’ll take delivery of 1,000 tulip bulbs. And I have snapdragons and sweet William ready to go into the field to settle in for the winter. I’ll also be seeding other hardy spring flowers such as larkspur and nigella to grow under row cover to become established before winter.

While we won’t be seeing our customers much more this fall, I’m already working towards the beautiful blooms I get to share with you in 2027. We are also kicking around the idea of hosting farm events where folks get to come and cut their own beautiful flowers right here on the farm. 💐

Amongst all of this, I’m also thinking about fun new resin projects for our dried flowers including new jewelry designs. And, I’m considering other options for fall and winter projects such as evergreen Christmas wreaths and porch decor. So many fun and creative ideas and so little time.

Let me know what products you would like us to offer both in the winter season and the 2027 flower season. Our best ideas come from our community!

Saturday, October 10 marks my final fresh flower market of the year, and I'm bringing a beautiful selection of colorful, fragrant, locally grown blooms to the Customer Appreciation Fall Market!

And if you're headed to Camdenton Homecoming tomorrow night, stop by the Bloom Bar first. 💃🌸 Choose the flowers you love, and I'll help you turn them into a budget-friendly custom hand-tied bouquet and boutonniere.

Plus, the booth will be packed with fall favorites:

🍂 Freshly crafted simmer blends
🎃 Botanical pumpkins featuring dried flowers, succulents and other natural touches
🌻 Fresh-flower pumpkin centerpieces
🔥🌿 A newly crafted batch of our botanical firestarters- they are almost too pretty to burn!
🥚 Farm-fresh eggs, both chicken and duck. Bakers- you want the duck eggs, trust me!
🌿 EUCALYPTUS bunches!

🌸 And LOTS of gorgeous, locally grown flowers. I've pretty well scalped our flower field- no pretty stem has gone uncut.

I have apparently reached the stage of fall where I’m giving pumpkins makeovers.

And I have zero regrets. 😂🎃🌼

I’ve been sitting at the worktable surrounded by flowers, succulents, pumpkins and approximately 47 tiny scraps that I cannot possibly throw away because what if I need that exact flower?

Each one is turning out completely different.

And, naturally, every time I finish one I announce:
“Okay. THIS one is my favorite.”

Then I make another.

There are some days when farm work smells considerably better than others.

This is one of them. 😂

We’ve been putting together simmer blends for our final market, and the whole workspace smells like the coziest version of fall.

This time of year always feels like such a transition. The fresh flowers are slowing down, but suddenly I get to play with all the herbs, dried flowers and little treasures we’ve been growing and saving.

I really love getting to share that part of the farm with you, too.

Tomorrow I’ll deliver the last bouquets for our subscription members this season to LakeHouse Naturals in Camdenton.

And I’m not quite ready. 🥹

There have been so many mornings this year spent walking through the flowers deciding what was ready, what looked beautiful together and what surprise bloom absolutely HAD to go in that week’s bouquet.

Knowing those flowers were headed to your kitchen tables, desks and homes made all of that work feel pretty special.

To everyone who joined us for this season’s bouquet subscription, thank you for letting me grow flowers for you.

I’m so excited for you to take these beauties home! 🥰

It’s hard to believe I’m saying this already, but we’re getting ready for our last farmers market of the season on October 10.

The tables around here are currently covered with half-finished projects, dried flowers, pumpkins, simmer blend ingredients and all sorts of fall goodness.

And honestly? I love this part.

There’s something special about these last few weeks when the pace changes a little and I get to take the things we grew all season and turn them into something new.

So over the next week, I’m going to bring you along while we get ready for one last market. 🤎
It might be a little messy.

Okay, it will definitely be messy. 😂

But hopefully beautiful, too.
