Winter storm warning for Texas and I’m over here watching my husband turn chafing fuel into a stove like it’s the most normal thing in the world. 😂

He’s telling me not to worry like his little chafing fuel contraption is going to carry us through an ice storm. But then again… this man literally built an A-Frame house on raw land with his own two hands, so maybe I should trust the process? 🪵

Y’all, when you marry a builder with pioneer energy, winter storms just hit different. We’ll be over here staying cozy while Darryl MacGyvers his way through whatever Texas weather throws at us. Praying for y’all! Keep safe! ❄️🏡

All we heard was traffic before. Now— we see more deer than people daily.

We chose peace over everything we thought we were supposed to want. The big house. The busy schedule. The big city life.

Turns out, you don’t need much when you realize your life is actually full. Stop and smell the roses.
