From sketch elevations to renderings ✨

This primary bathroom renovation in Tower Hill, just outside Cape Charles, is starting to come together. We’ve finalized a layout that works beautifully for our clients’ lifestyle and are now refining the finishing details, including tile, wallpaper, and countertops.

Along with custom mirrors, applied molding details, and thoughtfully layered lighting, we’re incorporating a paneled refrigerator drawer, making everyday routines a little more convenient while maintaining a seamless, custom look. A palette of soft blues and crisp whites, paired with Kohler polished nickel fixtures and Visual Comfort sconces, creates a timeless retreat inspired by life on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

Sharing a look at the elevations and 3D renderings for this bathroom design for our virtual clients in Virginia ✨

Our clients envisioned a space that felt collected, vintage-inspired, and quietly luxurious with subtle nods to the timeless charm of DeVOL-style interiors. While they already had a beautiful palette of rich, moody colors selected, they came to us needing help reworking the layout and maximizing the function of the space during a major remodel.

We reimagined the floor plan to improve flow and usability while carefully considering every detail, from cabinetry design and lighting placement to shower glass configuration and finishing touches. The result is a design that feels both elevated and deeply personal.

These renderings and elevations help bring the vision into focus before construction begins, allowing every layer of the design to be thoughtfully considered long before materials arrive on site.

Still smiling after reading this incredibly thoughtful review from a recent Bay Creek project. Sharing just a small excerpt here because the full review honestly meant so much to me. 🤍

This project came together on a very tight timeline for a client relocating full-time to Cape Charles, and it became such a rewarding collaboration between furnishings, window coverings, and thoughtful space planning. One of my favorite parts was blending meaningful existing pieces with new furnishings so the home felt layered, refined, and truly personal.

I’m also incredibly grateful for the trust of local real estate agents (thank you, Sabrina!) who bring me into these transitions for their clients. Helping new homeowners settle into Bay Creek and create homes that feel welcoming, functional, and beautiful is always such a privilege.

A little sneak peek of our Virginia Beach renovation! The space features custom black walnut cabinetry, a slate blue island, and Darjeeling quartzite countertops that really set the tone.

We layered in thoughtful custom details, including built-in wine storage at the dry bar with a leathered black granite top, and a custom blue hood vent that will sit above the 36” gas Monogram range. The mirrored glass pendant lights from Arteriors over the island add a fun element and a bit of shine.

One of my favorite parts is the cabinet door design. It features a mitered corner with modern square applied moldings that add detail while keeping everything feeling tailored and refined.

Things are moving right along!

Another beautiful furniture install in Cape Charles ✨

We brought this home to life with a full custom order from Rowe Furniture, along with stunning casegoods from Furniture Classics, all with amazing help from Molly at The Industrial Cottage. Every piece was thoughtfully chosen to feel both timeless and comfortable.

A pair of custom swivel chairs in the dreamiest sage green slipcover fabric, a creamy white brocade upholstered bed, a light textured cream loveseat (with the cutest castor wheels on the front!), and a cozy swivel glider in a soft sea foam woven fabric… all coming together so effortlessly.

We also layered in shell and bone inlay dressers in a few of the bedrooms, adding just the right amount of texture and visual interest.

We still have a few pieces to go for their new home in Bay Creek, but we’re getting close to the finish line of one of my favorite furnishing projects I’ve ever had the pleasure to work on.

So grateful for another wonderful client right here in our special little town 🤍

Sharing one of my all-time favorite projects 🤍

This 3rd generation farmhouse just outside of Cape Charles, Virginia holds so much history, and it was important to all of us that the kitchen renovation honored that story while still working beautifully for everyday life. My clients, who truly feel more like friends now, trusted the process in the best way.

We leaned into a timeless palette with natural materials that feel like they could have been here 100 years ago. Honed white marble, natural brass, inset cabinetry, and textured white backsplash tile set the tone. We were intentional about keeping as much natural light as possible and chose paneled appliances to create a seamless, integrated look.

The island became a quiet focal point with a soft green undertone on the cabinetry, detailed with millwork at the corners to give it a bit more presence in the space. We also preserved the original hardwood floors and added custom window treatments to complete the look.

This kitchen design is rooted in classic interior design principles, layered with thoughtful details that respect the character of a historic home while supporting modern living. The result feels timeless, functional, and deeply personal… and one I honestly wish I could call my own.

Progress update from our Virginia Beach Estate project ✨

This one has been a first-floor transformation for a family of five, and it’s starting to really take shape. We’ve opened up the layout by removing five walls, brought in new electrical placements, tiled the floors, and the fireplace mantel is ready for installation. Custom cabinetry goes in today, which always feels like a turning point!

We just finalized wall paint colors (always a process), and every decision has been made with natural light in mind. From the kitchen to the bar, eat-in dining, mudroom, and laundry room, this home is being reworked to feel brighter, more functional, and truly lived in.

Excited to keep sharing what’s next.
