Congrats to Booby's Carbondale
It was an honor to be nominated

Congratulations to our three nominees in Keeping Arts In Business, Hawthorne Art, Castle Perilous Games & Books, and winner Booby's Carbondale!

All three of these businesses have contributed to the visibility of our arts community in the past year, from creating murals for other businesses, hiring local artists to create murals on their own businesses, or offering open spaces for artists to create. We're so grateful to all three, and want to second winner Booby's statement that none of them could do it without the artists themselves.

Hey All just thought I would give an update since everything has been quiet on here. Thanks to the help of my friends, we got the shop all closed down and emptied out and I was offered a position as a curator in Paducah Ky, so now I am a hardcore commuter. I still plan on doing events when I can and doing by best to be a steward of the arts in Carbondale through Hawthorne Art. We will still be doing murals and interiors but keep in touch and let me know if you have any ideas you’d like help on. Thesis season is coming up so I will be bothering you all to see the amazing graduates of and soon I should be announcing an exhibition of my paintings too. Till then, Hope you all are doing well!

Unfortunately we will be closing the doors of our local shop in February so this will be your last chance to come by and see some really cool artist. Hawthorne Art will keep going but our brick and mortar studio/shop is going to be closed
