Robert E. & Marie Orr Smith Foundation Donates $10,000 to Carlstadt Volunteer Ambulance Corps
CARLSTADT, NJ — The Robert E. & Marie Orr Smith Foundation proudly presented a check for $10,000 to the Carlstadt Volunteer Ambulance Corps to support the purchase of a new tri-band emergency communications radio.
This important equipment will enable members of the Carlstadt Volunteer Ambulance Corps to communicate with emergency response agencies throughout the tri-state area, significantly enhancing communication capabilities and coordination during emergency situations.
The tri-band radio will be especially valuable during mutual aid responses, large-scale emergencies, and mass casualty incidents, when reliable communication among ambulance corps, fire departments, law enforcement, and other emergency services is essential.
By improving interoperability between emergency response agencies, the new radio will help ensure that Carlstadt’s volunteer emergency medical personnel can communicate effectively when responding to incidents both within their community and throughout the surrounding region.
The generous contribution from the Robert E. & Marie Orr Smith Foundation reflects its commitment to supporting local emergency services and helping provide first responders with the equipment necessary to protect and serve the public.
The Carlstadt Volunteer Ambulance Corps extends its sincere appreciation to the Foundation for its generosity and continued support of the community.
This donation represents an important investment in emergency preparedness, public safety, and the ability of first responders to work together when every second counts.
