🎓✨ A Special Graduation Celebration at The Quail & Olive ✨🎓
Today, we’re celebrating a very special milestone — and we know many families in our community are too.
Congratulations to all the students promoting from middle school to high school, graduating high school, and earning their college degrees! Every chapter completed is worth celebrating, and every new adventure deserves a toast (and maybe a little extra olive oil and balsamic at the table 😉).
Today, however, we have a very personal celebration to share.
This is Maddie, our youngest daughter. Tomorrow, she officially promotes from middle school to high school, and we couldn’t be more proud.
Maddie was born in early 2012, and just six months later, her grandfather opened The Quail & Olive. In many ways, she has grown up right alongside this little family business. From filling bottles in the back room and helping label products, to learning the register during the challenges of COVID, she has been part of this journey every step of the way.
The Quail & Olive isn’t just where we work—it’s where our family has grown, learned, celebrated, and built memories together. Watching Maddie grow from a baby in a stroller among olive oil fustis to a confident young woman with big dreams has been one of our greatest joys.
She enters high school with ambitious goals, including her dream of attending Cambridge after graduation. Knowing her determination, work ethic, and heart, we have no doubt she’ll continue reaching for the stars.
As the only olive oil and vinegar tasting room in Carmel Valley Village, we are incredibly grateful to be a family-owned and operated business serving this amazing community beyond the fog. We’ve had the privilege of watching so many local children grow up over the years, and celebrating these milestones together is what community is all about.
Congratulations, Maddie. We are so proud of you.
And congratulations to every student and family celebrating a graduation this season. Here’s to new beginnings, big dreams, and exciting chapters ahead. ❤️🎓✨

Our son Connor is graduating from and heading to this September to continue his studies in Economics, and we could not be more proud. 💛

What did you have for breakfast? Because over here… we made THIS. And wow — it’s the kind of breakfast that makes you close your eyes after the first bite and immediately text someone: “You need to come over right now.”
Our new Chili Lime Olive Oil completely steals the show in this shakshuka. Bright citrusy lime, warm chili heat, rich olive oil goodness — it turns a simple pan of eggs and tomatoes into something that tastes like brunch at your favorite little café you “accidentally” discovered on vacation.
The best part? It’s ridiculously easy. One pan. A few ingredients. Big flavor.
🍳 Chili Lime Shakshuka
In a pan, add a generous drizzle of our Chili Lime Olive Oil and sauté sliced onions until soft and fragrant. Add a can of roasted diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, and a little cumin. Let it simmer until rich and cozy. Then crack in your eggs and cook until the whites are set and the yolks are perfectly jammy.
Now here’s the move: finish it with ANOTHER drizzle of Chili Lime Olive Oil right before serving. That extra hit of chili-lime flavor on top? OMG. Game changer.
Serve with warm crusty bread and try not to eat the whole pan yourself.
Simple. Flavor-packed. Totally filling. The kind of breakfast that feels like a little celebration in the middle of an ordinary morning.
