Some pieces are a little harder to say goodbye to. 🤍

Meet Dewi Sri, a beautiful and meaningful figure we brought home from Indonesia. In Balinese and Javanese tradition, Dewi Sri is the goddess of rice, fertility, prosperity and abundance — a symbol of the earth, nourishment, harmony and the blessings of a fruitful home.

She made the long journey from Indonesia to Palomas here in Carmel, and now her journey continues…

We’re so happy to share that Dewi Sri has found a wonderful new home right here on the Monterey Peninsula. There’s something especially meaningful about knowing she’ll remain close by, bringing her beauty, peaceful presence and symbolism of abundance into a local home.

That’s what we love most about the one-of-a-kind pieces we discover on our travels. We may find them thousands of miles away, but somehow, they seem to find exactly where they belong. ❤️
