So… apparently we made the New York Times!
A travel reporter stopped by our little shop in Carpinteria at the exact moment our floral assistant had stepped out for coffee next door and our bookkeeper had briefly run an errand unknowingly leaving the shop completely empty for a short window of time. Doors open. Nobody inside. Just flowers, plants, and full small-town trust. 🌿
The reporter later told us, “Only in a small coastal town could you find a business wide open with no one in sight.” And honestly… she’s not wrong. It was SO Carp. 🤍
Thankfully nothing happened except a funny story that ended up in print, and now we’re laughing right along with everyone else. Small town business life may not always be polished, but it sure is real and that’s one of the things we love most about living and working in Carpinteria.
From the bottom of our hearts our family is thankful to everyone who continues to support our shop in this little corner of town. We promise someone is usually here. 😉
