HoosierPenMan Pen collector, restorer, dealer since the 1980s and selling at HoosierPenMan.com, on eBay, and at Pen Shows! Unusual filling mechanisms intrigue me.

I am a collector of Eisenstadt's Incomparable Fountain Pens and ephemera. I am also interested in pens with presentation engravings related to music and musicians, fountain pens with music nibs, and vintage Edison fountain pens. I enjoy finding vintage fountain pens and bringing them back to life as usable writing instruments and then passing them along to others to enjoy. Repair and restoration s

ervices are available at my website. I have been selling on eBay since 1998 and at fountain pen shows since 1992. My first vintage fountain pen was a gift which was purchased for me after seeing it in an Antique Mall in Owensboro, Ky in the 1980s. I wrote to Sheaffer to ask how to obtain new rubber sacs. I bought five sacs after taking the measurements they required (just in case I ever found any more...) and I was hooked!

We had a super show in San Francisco. Just finished unpacking and restoring this new old stock Charles Ingersoll dollar pen for a customer from India. The original price band gives instructions for filling and guarantees the pen by the Chas. H. Ingersoll Dollar Pen Co Newark NJ.

After more than 30 years of hunting for a barrel for a pristine red hard rubber Eisenstadt No. 8 cap, nib, feed, section I picked up in the 90s… the bay finally yielded up an example with a broken cap. Couldn’t let it escape me.

This one came in with a wonderfully graceful flexible nib.

Interestingly, both caps have this less common applied gold filled metal cartouche on the back of the cap for engraving. I’m curious, anyone out there with a RHR No. 8 Eisenstadt that does NOT have this cartouche on the back of the cap?

I am always looking for Eisenstadt pens and ephemera items. Feel free to reach out with oddball examples or duplicates you might be willing to pass along ; D or at LEAST share pictures please!

Come see me at the San Francisco International Pen Show in August! I’ll be doing repairs and will have parts along.
