Always go on line before you go to the stores to buy, so you get the REAL price. Today I took a typical front load washer and dryer with 2 pedestals, set up for delivery and added all of it to the cart. The prices were $949 each at a national chain competitor for the washer and dryer and $299 each for the pedestals.
By the time they added “required parts,” delivery charges and haul off and recycling fee, they were at $2,901 (before tax) which includes MANDATORY hidden charges. They won’t sell it to you at all unless you agree to those charges.
I then calculated the delivered price for D T McCall and Sons, with haul off of old units. The starting price was $999 each and $299 each for pedestals. At McCalls, the total was $2,599 before tax instead of $2,901 before tax, even with our starting price $50 more for washer and $50 more for the dryer, because we don’t charge for cords, hoses, vent hose connector or haul off old units. Also, ours has a rebate for even more savings.
You can do this all day and you will see our competitors add $200 to $300 to their advertised prices. We don’t lie about our prices so please don’t fall for the con job. Check everything before you buy. And remember at McCalls, we have our own top notch service. No calling India or Pakistan for a service call.
Delivery in our designated area is free and so is setup. We only charge for built-in type installations like a dishwasher, and we are usually a lower price for that too. Thanks for reading.
