A new lovely Mandir for a lovely family. They wanted a simple design with a cream colored backdrop and a curved design on the front. Mandir is on lockable brass casters for mobility as needed. Simple yet elegant design and the clients are thrilled.
Made out of Red oak and stained a rich mahogany oil stain and accented with antique gold gilding wax.

This one’s a bit different and very special. I took over an incomplete build from someone and completely transformed it into a beautiful piece by adding a lighted OM backdrop and a storage drawer. This turned out better than I had expected specially since I spent only 3-4 days working on it, in between other custom builds.

Sometimes I have to take a pause to address some things that I need for my own house. Case in point - we got a new set of washer dryer that sit low to the ground. One option I considered was to build a pedestal to raise them up but read lots of issues with pedestals and the washer instability that made me hit pause. In the meanwhile, I’ve seen all these Pinterest ideas of building a large folding table with storage for the laundry items and I loved it.
So here it is - my version of a laundry folding table with storage customized to our needs. I love the little cubbies to organize various things but my favorite is the little riser I built for the detergent to accommodate the dispenser and cup plus storage for extra cups that seem to collect over time.

I hope now I will be more motivated to do laundry 🙂.

New week new custom Mandir 🙂. This one’s extra special since I had to design and build a Mandir on a very tight budget for a lovely young couple. I tried hard to keep the cost low so as to meet their needs, especially since they requested doors on the Mandir. The end result is so adorable and the clients are so thrilled. This is why I do what I do.
This lovely Mandir is 42 inches high, 24 inches wide and 12 inches deep with double doors, a removable riser and a nice storage drawer.

A gorgeous white Mandir custom-designed for a client features a spacious display area with an LED backdrop. It has a full sized pullout tray for aarti and locking casters at the bottom. But the real pièce de résistance is the gorgeous topper with OM design that gives this Mandir a beautiful traditional yet modern appearance. Another successful collaboration with Harshis Custom Decor.
Made from maple plywood and poplar this beauty is 54 inches high, 36 inches wide and 24 inches deep.

A new kind of challenge - a friend asked me to convert the inside of her basement fireplace cavity into a decorative display area/Mandir for her mom. They did not want a traditional Mandir but rather a very contemporary space. I came up with an arched backdrop with decorative pillars on the side and a raised display platform in the middle with integrated storage. The space was in a high traffic area so I suggested we go with pocket doors. The real challenge was that each of these pocket doors would be huge - 40 inches high and 32 inches wide each. It was pretty challenging since I had to build everything at home and bring it in parts and assemble in place. The doors were a big challenge and took a bit of work but I’m pretty pleased with the final outcome.

It’s a beautiful feeling when a vision comes to fruition - sometime far exceeding what I could have even imagined. I’m so proud of this gorgeous new Mandir that I designed, built and installed all on my own. The client wanted a built in look to maximize the small space so we came up with this design. It has a wall-mounted gopuram, beautiful side panels flanking the main display wall. There is a generous sized platform with a removable riser for idols. A full-width pull-out aarti tray, two drawers, and two cabinets underneath for ample storage. There is a built in bench seat that neatly tucks away into the structure and can be pulled out when needed. Overall the client is super thrilled and I am so happy with the results.

72 inches tall, 38 inches wide and 17 inches deep. Red oak plywood and solid red oak construction with dark walnut oil-based stain. The beautiful antique gold accents add to the beauty and authenticity of the Mandir.

A little late in posting this custom Mandir. Built to specifications out of beautiful maple plywood, this Mandir has full open double-hinged doors with grid design. The interior part has beautiful laser cut OM panel and the top has Gayatri mantra and a Ganesha design- a collaboration with Harshis Custom Decor. Bottom
Part has a full width pullout tray, drawers and two cabinets with adjustable shelves for ample storage. 65 inches tall, 42 inches wide and 30 inches deep at the bottom.
