You see, I think it's not fair to our Ancestors AND our future offspring that our history was deliberately buried. If you search the internet for Randolph County's earlier history, it's as if our Ancestors weren't event there; as if they did not contribute in developing the lands that are still being utilized today.

The new RCHBS website is a tribute to the enduring spirit of the so-called Black inhabitants of Randolph County, Missouri and surrounding areas, whose contributions and history deserve recognition and remembrance. If you feel like I do, together, we’ll shed light on the hidden chapters of our past, honoring the resilience and strength of our Ancestors.

My GOAL? To give those who are looking for "Black" history in Randolph County AND is searching Ancestry records a starting point.
