Some flowers are more than just flowers. Some arrangements carry pieces of your heart, and some days remind me just how much this little flower shop has become a part of my life…This weekend, I had the absolute honor of creating the flowers for Ellia’s celebration of life. But this time, I wasn’t just there as her florist. I was there as her friend, celebrating an amazing woman who meant so much to so many.

I have always considered it a privilege when families choose Consider The Lilies to be a part of celebrating the lives of the people they love. Every single one takes a little piece of my heart with it. But this one? This one took a pretty big piece with it. I am sharing these photos with the family’s permission and with a heart full of gratitude for being allowed to play even a small part in honoring Ellia and the beautiful life she lived. Thank you for trusting me with something so personal, and for letting me be part of saying goodbye to someone I was so lucky to call my friend. Flowers have a way of helping us say the things our hearts can’t quite find the words for. This weekend, mine had a whole lot to say, and a whole lot of tears behind it.
Until we meet again, my friend. I love you, and you will be so deeply missed. ❤️

Alright, mamas, grandmas, and whoever else is in charge of making Thanksgiving look like it came straight out of a magazine… we’ve got a job for the kids. We’re making little fall arrangements at Consider The Lilies that are perfect for ANY age—and they get to make it themselves!!!

For just $25 per child, they’ll get to create a little arrangement they can proudly take home and put on the Thanksgiving table. And because we know Mom, Grandma, Auntie, or whoever is standing nearby is going to say, “Well, I want to make one too!”…
