Meet the newest creature creation of Tay Makes, the Lemon Meringuin, or lemon meringue penguin! Inspired by a real life leucitic king penguin that the internet aptly named a lemon meringuin, this dreamy little critter features lemon wedge wings, pie crust toes, and a whipped cream dollop topped with a lemon slice. Just like the real flightless bird, he’s one of a kind and as adorable as could be. 🍋🐧💛

In honor of National Gardening Day...

Meet Flora!

The protector of early springtide blooms and buds.

You might find her footsteps in fresh garden mud.

She likes to stay hidden from human eyes.

So, a flower hat and staff are her disguise.

Always tending to what each garden needs,

she spends her days pruning and planting new seeds.

After she’s done with her last garden chore,

she’ll dance in the sun in her best pinafore.

At the end of the season, her work is done for the year.

But don’t fret dear child, come spring she will reappear.

Tay Makes finally has its own instagram! In Even more exciting news, after all my years of crocheting and the hundreds of custom goods I’ve created I finally took the time to publish my very first pattern! I am so thrilled to present the Groovy Lil’ Shroomie dude crochet/amigurumi pattern, Available now on Etsy! This adorable little guy is so fun to make and the pattern is just as enjoyable to look at.
