We started the morning with coffee and Bailey's and breakfast burritos from Big Earl's. Breakfast of champions!!! We met a ton of old friends and made some new ones. Did some glass demos, sold a lot of beads! Overall, a great day! Marcia, good luck and great sales at Bead Fest in Santa Fe!!!! Love you, girl!!!😍

Cave Creek Bead Mission rose from the ashes of Marcia Kmack’s torch when Cave Creek Glassworks moved to Colorado six years ago.

Guess what??!! We’re getting the band back together for one day at the Cave Creek Bead Mission!

Marcia is joining Lynda, Stephanie, and Jonni on March 18th from 10:00 to 4:00 for a fabulous day of Bead therapy. We will have available for your purchasing pleasure Marcia Kmack’s magnificent mounds of lampwork beads, Lynda O’s outrageous orbs of glass, Stephanie L’s luscious lollipops of color, and Jonni D’s delightful dangly baubles. Additionally, we will have Czech glass beads, Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones, and a mix of findings along with some wearable beaded art!.

Please join us at 6061 E Cave Creek Road, suite 2B (back of the building) on Saturday, March 18th (10 am-4 pm). Marcia, Lynda, Stephanie, and Jonni can hardly wait to see you!

Attention all wanna-be glass bead makers! The next glass bead-making class is Thursday, May 13, 2015 from 10 am to 3 pm. In this introductory class, we will start with studio and hot glass safety and then learn how glass moves in the heat by pulling stringers. Next, we will move on to round beads, and finally, fish beads! $150 includes materials. Wear comfortable cotton clothing and long pants. Only 4 students per class. Three openings currently. Our studio offers introductory, recreational glass bead classes and metal clay classes that teach you basic hot glass and studio safety, glass application, shaping glass beads, and decorating glass beads. Learn metal clay shaping, stamping, and finishing of pendants and drops for use in your own jewelry designs.

Come fall, you'll all be amazed at the transformation of "The Studio!" Cosmopolitan Beads is transitioning to the studio environment to focus on lampworking. We will be featuring our lampworked beads (aka hand made glass beads) for sale on the Cosmopolitan Beads website and at special studio shows. For those of you that visited the store, you will be able to purchase lampworked beads online from Jonni DeAnda, Stephanie Lykins, and me.
