🖤 A little vintage magic from Wandering Magpie…

We took broken glass and paired it with cutouts from a 1950's carpet ad to create this one-of-a-kind piece. 🌿✨

A glamorous vintage lady, a handsome little pup, and some seriously fabulous glass foliage—because apparently, they were always meant to live together. 😉

We love taking forgotten pieces of the past and giving them a whole new life. Every piece is handmade, one-of-a-kind, and a little bit unexpected.

That’s the magic of the Magpie. 🖤

Meet Shirley — she’s a little salty, a little sassy, and absolutely not interested in your nonsense. 😎

Shirley spends her days soaking up the sun, collecting sea glass, and reminding everyone that life is better at the beach. With her oversized shades, fabulous sea-glass hair, and signature red lips, she’s got her beach attitude down to a science.

She’s made from a mix of tumbled glass, vintage miniatures, and a whole lot of imagination, just like everything at Wandering Magpie, she’s completely one-of-a-kind.

Her motto?

“Shirley — Beach, please.” 🏖️😎

She may not be headed to the beach anytime soon, but she’s bringing the beach vibes with her wherever she goes. 💛🌊

Handmade. One-of-a-kind. A little weird. A little wonderful.
That’s Shirley. And honestly… we’re obsessed with her. 🐚✨

🌿 Meet Flora 🌿

Flora is one of the ladies of Wandering Magpie, and she has a soft spot for flowers, gardening, and getting a little dirt under her nails.

Her fabulous wild hair and her dress are both made from tumbled glass, carefully pieced together to give her that wonderfully unexpected, vintage-garden-lady look. Her oversized golden glasses, delicate floral details, and tiny red heart-shaped mouth made of glass finish off her unmistakable personality.

Flora was created from repurposed and found pieces, with each little detail chosen to give her a story of her own. No two pieces of tumbled glass are quite alike, which makes Flora just as unique as the materials that make her.

And when asked what brings her here, Flora simply says:

“I’m just here for the dirt.” 🌱

The original Flora will be available for purchase at our upcoming Wandering Magpie booth, and prints will also be available.

She may be dressed in glass, but we think she’s got a heart for gardening. 🌼

Meet Beatrice 🖤

Beatrice is a reader, a coffee drinker, and a woman who has absolutely no problem declining an invitation.

Her motto?

“Sorry, I have plans.”

(Those plans may involve a good book, a cup of coffee, and absolutely no people. ☕📚)

Beatrice was created from the kinds of things we love to collect at Wandering Magpie: old book pages, reclaimed and tumbled glass, bits and pieces with a little history, and things that might have been overlooked by someone else. Her wild amber-and-honey hair is made from pieces of glass, while vintage-inspired details—her glasses, books, coffee, and tiny details—help bring her personality to life.

And that's the thing about the Magpie Ladies: they aren't just pictures. They're little personalities assembled from found things.

✨ The original Beatrice will be available for purchase at our booth at the College Square Iowa Made show in Cedar Falls on September 19th
✨ Prints will also be available for those who'd rather take Beatrice home in a slightly more practical form, or start a gallery wall with the other ladies of Wandering Magpie!

We'll be introducing the rest of the Magpie Ladies soon.

Some are sweet.
Some are mischievous.
Some have questionable life choices.

And at least one of them probably has a story she'd rather not tell. 😉
