Last Friday, Port Washington-Saukville School District broke ground on the new Saukville Elementary School - the district's first new school in more than 60 years!

We can't wait to see what the future holds for this site, school and its students.

Last night, Racine Unified Schools celebrated the completion of Red Apple School with a ribbon cutting and open house. For the very first time, this state-of-the-art school housed hundreds of RUSD faculty, board members, administrators, students, families, City leaders, and community members. The list goes on! It was fantastic to see the excitement and support from the community for this school. We are proud of our journey and partnership with RUSD and thrilled to be a part of this next chapter – celebration and move in day next week!

Congratulations Racine Unified School District and Red Apple School! Enjoy your new school.

Thank you to the Port Washington-Saukville School District for hosting GDG at Port Washington High School's Career Day. What a great way to spend a Friday! As a proud partner of the District, this was a fantastic opportunity to connect with students and share more about the careers helping shape updates in their very own schools.

Thomas (Tommy) Schneider, project architect, first felt a calling to healthcare design while his wife underwent treatment for Ewing Sarcoma. Fast forward 10 years and Tommy’s wife is in remission, and their hands and hearts are full taking care of their twins. The first chapter of parenthood threw them a curveball, as their daughter was diagnosed in utero with a severe congenital heart defect.

No stranger to patient‑level healthcare interactions, Tommy brings a design approach guided by lived experience and grounded in the full care journey. Meet Tommy and hear his story in the latest edition of Building with Heart. 🧡

This past weekend Paul Barribeau was able to attend the dedication of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church's renovated worship space. The GDG team partnered with the church to provide guidance for improvements to accessibility to the altar platform and to provide flexible seating with chairs and benches in the nave.

Apart from GDG, the church also undertook improvements to their heating system, new flooring in the nave and the redesign of their Ambo to make it accessible as well. The project construction was provided by members of the congregation.

These improvements provide a welcoming and adaptable space for gatherings and events. It all turned out beautifully! Congratulations to the church for their success in renewing their place of worship!

Over the weekend, St. Mary of the Hill Parish celebrated the dedication ceremony of their breathtaking new church. What a wonderfully fitting season to see this church – established in 1924 – have an official church after 101 years!
