Growing up in a close-knit family in the small town of Hope, Arkansas, I learned at an early age that necessity is the mother of invention. My dad was a small business owner and did well supporting our family of 4. He taught me hard work and creativity with what you have on hand. My mother was a school teacher. She passed her desire to mother on to me and set an amazing example of how to do it rig
ht. Other than my dear husband and 4 precious children, my other loves include sushi, oysters on the half-shell, flea markets, soul food, an organized home, Kona coffee, a good chai latte and anything citrus. I’m not a huge fan of chocolate and am seriously allergic to cats and hickory trees. We have laying hens, dogs and cats.. My favorite color is red…always red. And I love a good suspense movie. I learned how to cook and bake, and developed a love for both, from my mother, aunts, and grandmother. Few things satisfy me like feeding a friend or loved one. I was born with a love for art, crafts and creating things with my hands and began by creating things for family and friends. I have done cross-stitch, needle point, beading, painting, pottery, wood work…well, you get the point. I could go on for days. But, one of my greatest joys is creating one-of-a-kind works of art for folks like you.
