πŸ†πŸ”₯ RHVFC BAGS, BEEF & BREWS – COMPETITIVE UPPER BRACKET CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP πŸ”₯πŸ†

If there was any doubt that the inaugural RHVFC Bags, Beef & Brews Co****le Tournament would attract top talent, it disappeared the moment the bags started flying.

Forty-eight competitors from across the region showed up to battle for a guaranteed $2,000 prize pool. Thanks to the incredible turnout and our commitment to paying back 100% of the entry fees, the total payout package swelled to nearly **$4,000**, attracting some of the best throwers on the Eastern Shore, including multiple ACL Pros.

The day began with four rounds of Switcholio play, where players teamed up with a different partner each round. Once the dust settled, the field was split into Upper and Lower Championship Brackets based on performance, with the top 24 players advancing to the Upper Bracket.

And what a field it was.

The Upper Bracket featured some unbelievable talent, led by:

🎯 Payton – 10.20 PPR
🎯 Just Coopℒ️ – 10.02 PPR
🎯 Gage – 9.61 PPR
🎯 Tibbs – 9.49 PPR
🎯 CORNSHAW – 9.26 PPR
🎯 Steven – 9.22 PPR
🎯 James L. – 9.13 PPR
🎯 Little Dirty – 9.12 PPR

When the bracket pairings were revealed, everyone knew there would be no easy path to the championship.

The King Seat was eventually secured by **Gage & Stuba Stebe**, who put together an impressive undefeated run through the winner's bracket. Along the way they defeated Tibbs & Captain Hook, Payton & Blind Squirrel, and Just Coopℒ️ & Braeden F. to earn their place in the finals.

But standing across from them was a dangerous team.

After an early-round loss, **Payton & Blind Squirrel** caught fire and tore through the contender's bracket. Their run included victories over Little Dirty & TyRob, Front Board Bandit & CORNSHAW, Chowder & Will Slagle, and finally Just Coopℒ️ & Braeden F. to punch their ticket to the championship match.

With the crowd gathered around the feature court, the championship was set.

King Seat:
πŸ‘‘ Gage & Stuba Stebe

Contenders:
πŸ”₯ Payton & Blind Squirrel

Payton & Blind Squirrel came out swinging and handed the King Seat team their first loss of the bracket, forcing the decisive winner-take-all final.

With nearly $4,000 in total payouts on the line, the pressure couldn't have been higher.

When the final bags were thrown, it was **Gage & Stuba Stebe** who rose to the occasion, capturing the championship and becoming the first-ever RHVFC Bags, Beef & Brews Competitive Upper Bracket Champions.

πŸ† 1st Place – Gage & Stuba Stebe
πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place – Payton & Blind Squirrel
πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place – Just Coopℒ️ & Braeden F.
πŸŽ–οΈ 4th Place – Chowder & Will Slagle

The competition was outstanding, but what made this event truly special was the community behind it.

A huge thank you to the members of the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company for trusting Brackish Wooder to help bring this vision to life. Thank you to every firefighter, volunteer, family member, and committee member who worked tirelessly behind the scenes before, during, and after the event.

Thank you to the sponsors whose generosity helped raise more than **$25,000** in support of the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company and its mission to serve and protect the community.

Thank you to the players who traveled from near and far to compete.

Thank you to the spectators who cheered, bought raffle tickets, enjoyed the food and drinks, and helped create an atmosphere worthy of a championship event.

Most importantly, thank you to the Rock Hall community for showing what can happen when people come together for a great cause.

The first Bags, Beef & Brews tournament set the bar high.

We can't wait to see what next year brings.

After four rounds of Switcholio play, the 48-player field was split in half based on performance. The top 24 players advanced to the Upper Bracket, while the remaining 24 players earned another opportunity to compete for a championship in the Competitive Lower Bracket.

Don't let the name fool youβ€”there was nothing "lower" about the level of competition in this bracket.

With fresh partners assigned based on PPR seeding, 12 teams entered the double-elimination battle looking to finish their day with a trophy, payout, and bragging rights.

When the dust settled, it was **Twinkle Toes & Big Gus** who earned the King Seat and remained undefeated heading into the championship round. Standing in their way were **Tal E Whacker & CeCe**, who battled their way through the contender's side and handed Twinkle Toes & Big Gus their first loss of the tournament, forcing a winner-take-all final match.

The championship couldn't have been any closer.

With both teams trading punches throughout the game, Twinkle Toes & Big Gus found a way to answer the challenge, escaping with a thrilling **21-20 victory** to capture the **RHVFC Bags, Beef & Brews Competitive Lower Bracket Championship!**

πŸ† **1st Place** – Twinkle Toes & Big Gus
πŸ₯ˆ **2nd Place** – Tal E Whacker & CeCe
πŸ₯‰ **3rd Place** – Doug M. & Robin K.

A huge congratulations to all of our finalists and to every player who competed throughout the day. One of the best parts of this event was watching players from all skill levels battle through the unique Switcholio format, make new partners, and compete in meaningful games from start to finish.

What began as a vision for the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company's inaugural Bags, Beef & Brews event turned into an incredible day of competition, community, food, drinks, raffles, and fundraising. None of it would have been possible without our players, volunteers, sponsors, spectators, and the members of the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

Thank you all for helping make this first-year event a tremendous success!

πŸŽ―πŸ’° RHVFC BAGS, BEEF & BREWS AIRMAIL CHALLENGE CHAMPION πŸ’°πŸŽ―

When the dust settled and the pressure was at its highest, there was only one thrower left standing.

Congratulations to ACL Pro Payton Mister, winner of the inaugural RHVFC Bags, Beef & Brews Airmail Challenge!

More than 20 competitors stepped up to test their nerves and accuracy in this exciting Knock-Out Style competition.

🎯 Round 1: 4 bags β€” make 1 to advance
🎯 Round 2: 3 bags β€” make 1 to advance
🎯 Round 3: 2 bags β€” make 1 to advance
🎯 Round 4: 1 bag β€” make it or go home

As the field narrowed, only four throwers remained heading into the final round. With just a single bag in hand and the entire prize pot on the line, the pressure couldn't have been any higher.

One by one, the final competitors missed their opportunity.

Then Payton stepped up.

One bag.

One shot.

One airmail.

πŸ’₯ SWISH! πŸ’₯

Payton was the only competitor to sink his final-round shot, claiming the entire prize pot and earning the title of RHVFC Bags, Beef & Brews Airmail Champion!

A huge thank you to everyone who entered and helped make the challenge one of the most entertaining events of the day. Watching the crowd gather around the boards as the rounds progressed and the pressure mounted made for an unforgettable moment at our inaugural Bags, Beef & Brews event.

Congratulations again to Payton Mister on an incredible performance under pressure!

One of the special prizes at the Bags, Beef & Brews Co****le Tournament was a custom set of Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company co****le boards awarded to the youth player (15 & under) who advanced the furthest in our Backyard Division.

Congratulations to **Caleb Demarr**, who battled his way to an impressive **9th-place finish** in a field of 36 players to earn the prize!

Caleb competed against players of all ages and experience levels throughout the day and proved that age is just a number when it comes to throwing bags. His determination, sportsmanship, and strong play earned him a custom set of RHVFC boards that he can enjoy for years to come.

We're proud to see young players getting involved in the game and becoming part of the co****le community. The future of the sport is bright when we have competitors like Caleb stepping up and taking on the challenge.

Congratulations, Caleb! Enjoy your new boards, and we can't wait to see you back on the courts again soon!

πŸ† RHVFC Bags, Beef & Brews – Backyard Edition Recap πŸ†

What a day in Rock Hall!

When registration first opened, we had just 18 players signed up for the Backyard Division. By the time bags started flying, that number had doubled to an incredible 36 players, creating a full and competitive field that far exceeded expectations. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company and help make this inaugural event such a success.

This division was designed for players with a PPR of 6.75 or below, giving newer and developing throwers a chance to experience organized competition. We saw players of all ages and skill levels step onto the courts, including many who had never played in a tournament beforeβ€”and certainly never in a Switcholio format. Watching first-time players gain confidence, make new friends, and compete throughout the day was one of the highlights of the event.

The day began with a 4-game Switcholio, where players were paired with a different partner each round. Seeding was determined by record, then total points scored.

After four rounds, it was John C. who claimed the top seed with a perfect 4-0 record and 84 points scored. He was joined at 4-0 by Savannah Wiley and Mike B Has Gone Fishing, setting the stage for a highly competitive double-elimination bracket.

🎯 Final Results
πŸ₯‡ 1st Place – Don H. & Neil M.
Starting as the #4 seed, Don and Neil put together an incredible run through the bracket, finishing undefeated and capturing the Backyard Division Championship.

πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place – Mike B Has Gone Fishing & Troy W.
After earning the #3 seed following a perfect Switcholio performance, Mike and Troy battled their way to the finals and earned a well-deserved runner-up finish.

πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place – Zack S. & Tanner B.
The #8 seed caught fire at the right time, making a deep run through the bracket and securing a spot on the podium.

πŸŽ–οΈ Honorable Mention – 4th Place
John C. & Cleamon K.
John entered bracket play as the overall #1 seed after a flawless Switcholio performance. While the championship wasn't in the cards this time, a fourth-place finish in a field of 36 players is still an outstanding accomplishment.

None of this would have been possible without the support of the Rock Hall community, our players, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who came out to enjoy the food, drinks, raffles, and festivities throughout the day. Your support helps the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company continue serving and protecting our community.

Thank you all for making the first Bags, Beef & Brews a tremendous success. We can't wait to do it again!

πŸ‘‘ SPRING LEAGUE PLAYOFFS RECAP πŸ‘‘

After four weeks of Switcholio action, the stage was set for the Patriot Acres Farm Brewery Spring Co****le League Playoffs!

Throughout league play, players battled through weekly round robins to earn their playoff seed based on PPR. Then came the moment everyone was waiting forβ€”the partner selection wheel.

With only a 5% chance of hitting, the wheel landed on **BOTTOM'S CHOICE**, instantly turning the entire playoff bracket upside down!

Instead of the top seeds controlling the draft, the lowest seed got first pick of a partner, followed by the next lowest seed, and so on until all 26 players were paired up. Just like that, the seedings, strategies, and predictions went right out the barn door.

Once the teams were set, the double-elimination tournament got underway, and the surprises kept coming.

The #7 seed team of Mike M. & Real Deal (Kermit) put together an impressive run through the winner's bracket and eventually claimed the King's Seat. Standing in their way was the #8 seed team of **Fieldman & Zevas**, who fought their way back through the loser's bracket after an earlier loss to Mike & Kermit.

In the championship round, Fieldman & Zevas weren't finished yet. They handed Mike & Kermit their first loss of the night and forced the winner-take-all final match.

With the league title on the line, Mike & Kermit dug deep and delivered when it mattered most, capturing the Spring League Championship!

πŸ† SPRING LEAGUE PLAYOFF RESULTS πŸ†

πŸ₯‡ 1st Place – Mike M. & Real Deal (Kermit)

πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place – Fieldman & Zevas

πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place – Billy D. & TJ R.

πŸ… 4th Place – Levi Devers & Sleva (Sleev)

Thank you to everyone who participated in this season's league. The competition was outstanding from Week 1 all the way through the final bag thrown. A huge thank you to Patriot Acres Farm Brewery for hosting us and to all of our players who continue to make Thursday nights one of the best co****le communities around.

Congratulations to all of our winners and league members on another great season!
