Modern lights, urban plants! Check out Urban Planting’s newest location in tremont! Their upgraded modern and minimalist storefront allows customers to feel fully immersed in the forestry of their collection of plants. We like to think of our custom lights as patches of sun poking through the leaves of the forest canopy above.

Talk about a proud moment! This fixture was 2.5 years in the making!!! This fixture included 3 different versions, 3 re-designs, 2 prototypes, 400 feet of steel tubing, over 2000 feet of wire, 3200 sq. ft. of acrylic, 960 sq. ft. of laminated wood, 25 downlights, 50 color-changing modules, 2 custom programmed DMX control boxes, and perhaps a couple of choice words to complete this stunning beauty! The concept was originally brought to us in 2019, about 6 months before the shutdown of March 2020. After all that time and dedication to design, we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!

While the caffeine in your cup elevates you, take a look at the custom light fixture HLS designed and installed for the space! We like to think of this beautiful artwork-of-a-fixture as the morning sunshine to enjoy your coffee with.

The custom chandelier in this residential living room gave the room ambience and adornment befitting of a thoughtfully designed space. The checkered area rug complements the square pattern of the chandelier as well as the lattice cast of light on the ceiling. The wall sconces and chandelier finishes match, marrying the modern manufacturing of the chandelier with the delicacy of the antique sconces to create a beautiful family of light fixtures

Operating in the dark allows us to calculate reflectance, graze, shadowing, gradience, color accuracy, diffusion, and so much more. In our darkroom, we have the ability to remove all ambient, overhead, and outside light to see how our light sources truly behave.

When life hands you grapes, make wine! 🍇 🍷 This grapevine chandelier was a family heirloom that needed a head-to-toe cleaning, rewiring, and a proper space to pay homage to generations past. Each bunch of grapes was also retrofitted for efficient LED lamps, giving it a modern upgrade while preserving the nostalgia of an antique art piece. Cheers! 🍷 💥 🍷

👀 SNEAK PEEK 👀 Everyone seems to miss the good ol’ days… but the good ol’ days for this fixture was inefficient, expensive-to-operate, and very hot light bulbs. We’ve been restoring a family of these fixtures to a modern look with higher efficiency LED modules, better wiring techniques, proper light diffusers, and a fresh coat of paint! More to come…

Restoration of historical fixtures is always a fun challenge for us. The beauty, though the years may have dulled it, is always there - it just takes a trained eye (and a good amount of elbow grease) to see it again

Power to the process! This custom wall sconce is a first generation prototype. Prototyping is a helpful visual for the client and serves as a guiding tool for our production and assembly methods. In order to minimize costs, the lampshade was 3D printed in house and produces the illumination effect that would otherwise be done with custom acrylic

Just in case you are ever feeling lost, HLS is here to light the way! These oversized, custom, and backlit floor numbers are on each level of the Medical Mutual Building just outside the elevator entrances. Each number veils an LED ribbon, which lights the interior edges of the number, producing the glowing and hovering effect of the number off the back wall surface.

This family of chandeliers is finally up and hangin’ out at their final destination! Huge shoutout to for the amazing bubbled and crackled custom glass balls and of course to for the polished stainless canopies. We are so pleased with how these chandelier came out, and they photograph so nicely!
