We’ve added several whole-home case studies to our new website.

These are some of our favorite projects to share because there’s so much more to them than any one finished room. You can see where each home started, what the homeowners wanted to change, the problems we had to solve along the way, and where we ended up.

If you’re considering a larger renovation, they’re also a good way to get a feel for how we approach a home as a whole.

The finished photograph shows you where a project ended.

But there’s a lot you can’t see in that photograph.

What wasn’t working before? What mattered most to the homeowners? What had to change? Which details made the design distinctly theirs?

One of our favorite additions to the new website is the opportunity to tell more of those stories.

Throughout the site, you’ll find case studies that take you beyond the finished rooms and into the thinking, problem-solving, and decisions behind them.

We’ll share more of those projects here in the coming weeks. For now, we’re starting with A Primary Bathroom Planned for the Future.

A beautiful day in Chicago.

A beautiful finished room is only part of the story.

If you’re thinking about renovating your home, you probably have much bigger questions. Where do we start? What will the process look like? Who manages all the moving parts? And how do we know whether Spectrum is the right fit for our project?

Our new website was built to answer more of those questions.

You can explore our approach to whole-home, kitchen, and bathroom renovations, learn about custom closet design, walk through our process, meet the team, and see the work we’ve completed for clients throughout the Midwest.

There’s a lot more to see than a portfolio.

Explore the new site at www.spectrumdg.com.

Our new website is live!

This wasn’t a matter of giving the old site a new look. We wanted to make it easier to understand what it’s like to plan a renovation with Spectrum Design Group.

There’s more information about our services and process, more of our work to explore, and more of the details that can help when you’re considering a renovation of your own.

And yes, there are plenty of beautiful spaces, too.

Take a look around and let us know what you think.

"Don’t get lost in the details." What?! In remodeling, the details aren’t the distraction. They’re what makes the difference between a primary bathroom renovation that runs smoothly and one that costs more in both time and money, and between a project you simply finish and one you’re proud of.

Read on for reasons why "don't get lost in the details" is not sound advice: https://spectrumdg.com/primary-bathroom-renovation-advice-that-gets-it-wrong/
