Who loves a cozy guest room when traveling out of town or visiting friends or family? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
This is proof you don’t have to spend a ton of money or make huge dramatic changes in furniture to refresh a space and make it feel completely new. This space was minimally designed before with little thought put into it as it is a guest bedroom, however after strategic design decisions, the space looks brand new and has an entirely different feel than before (see the last photo). I purchased paint for the accent wall on the headboard and used paint we already had from painting the rest of the house for the remaining walls. As you can see in the before photo, none of the furniture changed. I decided to use baskets that I also already had at home to hang above the headboard to create visual interest and then hung elk antlers my dad sourced from a trip to Wyoming when we were younger on the wall as an alternative wall decor option rather than choosing a simple photo. I also already had the curtains left over from a different home project and decided to incorporate them into the design. After a new quilt at the end of the bed and some new accent pillows, the space is complete!
